As a Hilton Honors member I've come to expect a certain level of performance from Hilton. Sad to say, but DFW's Double Tree left me disappointed and a bit paranoid of cockroaches. I stayed two nights at this location for business and two of my associates killed large cockroaches in their rooms. The walls are paper thin and the room I stayed in was in dire need of refurbishing. Overall I would only give this hotel a 1 1/2 star rating and only that due to the genuinely friendly staff, especially a waitress by the name of Hollie. She made the $16 breakfast a better experience.

Customer service is very good. we had booked the rooms through the HIlton site with the concierge service room but found out it was not open during the weekends so they comped us the breakfast for our two days. Front desk was great, breakfast team was great. The rooms are a little dated and the bathroom is a little small but they are clean and smell good. We had a great rate at $99 for a weekend night. Despite being an "airport hotel" it was very quiet and you didnt hear the planes. Breakfast was a little above average, although if you paid for it, it would be $16/head. It was a full buffett with an omelet bar. There is a starbucks there but it isnt open on the weekends. At the right price this is a good stay. Just to the East on beltline is a Target or WAlmart if you need something as well as some other shopping options. Being right on 114 and 635, there are a lot of options for eating out.

Room Tip: They have eight floors and then a separate section. Not sure which ones may be newer. I would want...

Great customer service at this hotel. It does not get better than what they provide. I checked in with Fatima and Tess, checked out with Allison. Everyone made me fell welcome and right at home. Hotel could use an update. The rooms are a little dated, and rundown. However, the staff makes up for these issues.

I arrived at the hotel so tired and expecting just another hotel stay until I met Yhen McKee, the front desk clerk. She was so extraordinarily customer oriented, I was simply enchanted. I have never experienced someone so cheerful, knowledgeable and accommodating. She deserves to be considered for bigger and better professional positions where her skill at human relations can be fully appreciated. She made my stay a memorable one, instead of the usual routine.

A/C and fan cycles on and off very noisily. Fan cannot be set to stay on.

Connecting doors between rooms are thin (I kept hearing conversations and phlegmatic coughs from the guy in the next room).

The breakfast in the Executive lounge has a limited subset of the main floor breakfast buffet, which is understandable. However, I expected basics like oatmeal to be available.

The bathtub had debris (not sure what it was), and the shower handle was troublesome to operate.

I would not go back to this hotel. There are many other hotels in the DFW vicinity that are more business traveler friendly.

You expect a certain level of quality when you hear DoubleTree and Hilton and this hotel definitely meets it! Everything was very clean and what we liked the best (even though it might not mean much to other people) is that there were towels made available at the pool so you didn't have to use your own.
