The hotel room was clean. I liked the towel creations the maid left. The bed was comfy. My only problem was that the walls were paper thin. Every time someone got up, I could hear the movement, the toilet flushing, alarms going off, etc. The free breakfast was decent. The beer at the reception was awful th snacks were weak; at least the wine was drinkable. Also, there aren't too many good places to eat within walking distance.

While the staff was pleasant and quite helpful, the TownePlace Suites can't help that it is dated and tired. I stayed there for 9 days; it had the amenities that I was looking for - refrigerator, toaster, oven, stove and cooking equipment, and located close to my office. They cleaned the rooms and straightened my bed each night - and that was done well. And, my school negotiated a great price.

However, the beds are really old - with barely any support, and creak alot when you turn over. Pillows were only down feather, no option for foam, or something a little more firm. I gave up and slept on the couch. The microwave was quite old (or extremely low power..) - it took 45 minutes to fix a baked potato.

The walls were quite thin and when there were people next to me, I could hear every word.

If you need the amenities, this is worth the extended stay price, but if you don't need the stove and refrigerator, look elsewhere.

I was visiting Dallas Friday August 17 with Family. The rooms were clean, the breakfast was outstanding for a Express type Hotel. I mentioned to the lady in the front desk, we were celebrating my wife's birthday. Later that evening, the front dest manager showed up in our room with Chocolate cake and flowers for my wife. Very Classy Move!

The location is easy to find. The rooms are a bit dated and the walls are paper thin. The staff was very helpful in trying to find me a quiet room, unfortunately, (fortunately for them) they were quite full and the choices were slim. They did try however and were nice enough. We were given another room, a bit higher up, but on the busier street. The rooms were inexpensive though, so nothing lost other than a night of sleep.
