“OMG - German chocolate pie. Awesome!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 3, 2012

Chicken fried steak was real good. Sides were good as well. Huge portions so be careful because you will want something from the extensive pie list. Great little local cafe. Reminds me of my childhood. I'll be visiting here again real soon.

“Fantastic Little Place”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 24, 2012

Some of the best burgers I have had in a while. Had the Blue Cheese & Bacon burger, which had real blue cheese, not a sauce, and wonderful thick bacon. The neat thing was that the burger was a half pound AFTER being cooked, unlike most places. Great atmosphere and a true Texas Delight. Just enough off the beaten path to stay somewhat hidden, but well worth the 2-3 block drive off the main highway.

“Dessert Heaven”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 24, 2012 via mobile

Had the Brandy Apple Pie, served on a sizzling skillet. This should be listed as nothing less than Sin on a Skillet. Absolutely one of the best desserts I have ever put in my mouth!!!

Thanks - Glad you enjoyed - Sin on a Skillet - tha'ts clever -- we try to balance it more by referring to it as both Heavenly & Decadent. and believe it is both

“just okay”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 11, 2012 via mobile

we've eaten here 3 times and the food is just okay. the cob salad is decent but is not at all like the Brown Derby version. the pie is ok but pricey. if you go for pie happy hour, make sure to get your check before happy hour ends. we were ignored by our waitress for 30 minutes while she waited for the happy hour to end. she then told us happy hour was over and we could not have the special price. wish I could say this was a 1 time service issue but service has been a problem since the first visit.

“Nice cafe, very casual and comfortable. Food was good.”

Loved the pie. Nice atmosphere when you have family with you. Very easy to visit with each other due to the quietness of the cafe. Waiter was nice. Nice assortment of pies.
