We have eaten here a couple of times and the sliced brisket is very good. The sides are not so good.
The portion of sliced brisket is large enough that my wife and I are able to share.
The sides we have tried are baked beans, potato salad, rice/broccoli/cheese casserole and coleslaw. Baked beans taste like canned pork and beans with sugar and maybe barbecue sauce added. I would not recommend them. Potato salad was average per my wife. I do not eat it. The coleslaw was passable, but the rice/broccoli casserole was good. It is the only one I would recommend.
They serve plain white bread and rolls with the meat. I do not eat plain white bread, but the roll was pretty good.
There are a lot of great barbecue places in Houston. This is one of the good ones, but I would not drive out of my way for it. This is not because it is not good, but because good ones are all over the city. This one does not stand out from the crowd.
