“Cheap Overnight Stop”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 7, 2012

We stayed for one night on route to Mexico. We chose the hotel because of the favourable reviews, affordable prices, proximity to the airport, and free shuttle. We arrived late in the evening and were checked in and in our room within 2 minutes. The location is a bit remote. There are a number of hotels/motels in the neighborhood and a couple of fast food places. We had to scramble to get a bite to eat at one of the nearby fast food restaurants before they closed. The up side of being remote is that the neighborhood is quiet, which means a good night's sleep. The hotel is modestly appointed, as we expected, but it is very clean and the staff are friendly and helpul. We had a quick breakfast (included) in the morning, before heading back to the airport and continuing our journey. We probably wouldn't stay here again, simply because we found the mattress and pillows uncomfortable. This is a personal thing, however, and others will undoubtedly fine them just fine. If you need a cheap place to overnight near the Houston airport, it's certainly worth considering.

Thank you to the General Manager Ashish Patell for his outstanding customer service! I had a problem with a non refundable reservation booked on Expedia for the wrong arrival date. Ashish spoke to Expedia on my behalf to authorize the refund of my cancellation. I then rebooked directly with hotel for the correct date. It was a stressful travel day with delayed flights and missed connections due to weather. It was chaotic at the airport terminal with travellers trying to find last minute hotel rooms and shuttle rides. Our driver "Charles" was amazing!!!! We were picked up in a white mini van. Many people were trying to take our shuttle but Charles made it clear that he had the shuttle reserved for us as we were on his pick up list. Charles was very personable and funny which helped ease the stressful day. We walked actiss the parking lot to Sonic for a late night bite to eat. My only complaint about our stay is that as a hotel that caters to airport travellers with very early morning flights...there was no breakfast food available for our 6AM shuttle bus to airport. Something as simple as a basket of fruit or muffins to grab and go would have been really appreciated.

We stayed here for one night on a quick trip to Houston. We could not find a hotel near the galleria or med center so we stayed out by the airport. We took the shuttle from the airport to the hotel without any problems. Check in was easy, we had a king room on the 2nd floor. The room was average in size but clean. There is an refrigerator and microwave in the room which is nice to have. The vanity is separate from the bathroom which is nice when 2 people are getting ready at the same time. There was some disrepair in the bathroom but for the price it was okay. The hotel is located near many other hotels, Sleep Inn and Holiday Inn Express among others. There is a Sonic/ Waffle House and convenience store nearby and you can order off their room service menu, I'm not sure where the food comes from though.
The noise level was fine as well. Breakfast in the morning is make your own waffles and muffins along with oatmeal and some imitation eggs. This is definitely a 2 1/2 star hotel but it will do for a quick layover.

I ditto everything Rickee Ricardo said and cupcake 2. Met our needs for a layover in houston with no time to see the sights. Comfortable and clean and everthing we needed. We left early but they tried hard to make sure we got some quick breakfast after the earlier german crowd had cleaned out the breakfast bar. Our husbands were worried about having a beer and we were able to go to the quicmart across the street and get our own so this worked for us. Some of the surrounding motels may have had a bar but we just wanted something inexpensive and a zonic burger. Would stay here and recommend to my friends. Did take a bit for the shuttle but they were having issues with drivers.

Stayed a night here due to a missed flight because of bad weather. This was one of the hotels closest to the airport. They are in the list of hotels that you can get at a discount with an airline voucher. They offer free van pickup service which takes about 10 minutes to/from the hotel. Right next to the hotel there's a Sonic and a Waffle House restaurant that is open 24 hours, you can get a quick snack there at any time for a very reasonable price. The room was very clean and spacious, good bed and desk to do some work on. Free WiFi, ask reception for login key, no complaints - good speed and connection. I only stayed there for a few hours, had to get up early and leave at 5AM to catch the next flight out, but was able to catch some sleep. This is by no means a five star luxury hotel, but I gave it an excellent rating because it accomplished what I needed when I needed it, that is a good place to catch up on email, grab a byte to eat very late in the evening and get a couple of hours sleep.

We stayed here for one night and really enjoyed our evening. Mr Patel, the manager, is friendly, caring and very helpful. I asked for a non-smoking room, and was worried that they do Have smoking rooms, as some hotels will call a room "non-smoking", if the room's resident of the night Before, didn't smoke! Not the case here, there is a strict non-smoking rule for those designated rooms, and a heavy fine, if one breaks that rule. Our room was on the 2nd floor, and there was NO smoke smell in either the hallway, or our room; it was just as promised, and we were very happy with every aspect of our room.

The rooms were very clean, the bed and bedding comfortable. The room was large, with a desk, chair, great tv, and plenty of room for our things in the storage areas. The bathroom was wonderfully clean, as well, and the sink area has a nice granite counter top, and it is located outside of the bathroom, so that was very convenient for us both to get dressed for dinner. There was also a microwave and small fridge in our room, and the fridge was on and running, unlike some hotels, that don't have it cool for your beverages when you arrive. The staff and management truly think of details that will make your stay pleasant!
The hotel was very quiet, and we slept well; it is located away from the highway and even the main road near-by, so there is no traffic noise. The continental breakfast has many nice choices; muffins, bagels, waffles, yogurt, good coffee, cereals, and more. The breakfast area, and all food stations were immaculate.
We did not need the shuttle, but we did see the shuttle driver and desk staff working with guests to meet their every need, as far as transportation. The hotel location is great; steps away from Waffle House, Jack in the Box, Sonic drive-in, and a quick mart /gas staion is right across the street, so no matter when you arrive, you can find something to eat--this is really halpful, if your flight arrives late.
We would definitely stay again, and recommend to others who are traveling in this area.
