The hotel was nice. Not excellent - but nice. There was minimal staff and information regarding availability of hotel amenities (the pool, for example) was incorrect. Staff was friendly and did refer to me by name. Elevators were plentiful and fast - no annoying wait. There was no concierge service to speak of, which was particularly disappointing, since Houston is a place where you need a little bit of extra help to find something to do. It charges upscale hotel rates, but really doesn't provide much above it's Holiday Inn cousins. A nice, basic, clean, comfortable place. But certainly not a 4-star experience. Internet was free, however, a nice perk. Like every other hotel in downtown, there is no self parking.
