Traveled to Houston, TX for Wrestlemania XXV. They have everything. The spa, Wow. This is a first class hotel that would be nice to visit without the children so as to be able to take advantage of all of their deluxe spa services. The pools, restaurants indoor and out and the service were all top notch. They have a driver that will take you to the Galleria mall and pick you up when you are through. We honestly only went to Houston for Wrestlemania with our teenage son and wanted a place that was safe and clean. Well this was that and more. They even were having their room service kitchen refurbished one night and therefore provided a complimentary food and drink bar in case anyone wanted food throughout the night. I chose this hotel by the reviews on Tripadvisor and was very, very satisfied.

I come to the Houstonian for the spas but the great service and nice rooms are the reason I stay overnight.
The hotel was busy but check-in was fast without feeling rushed and the woman at the front desk was very friendly. Not only was I allowed to check in a couple hours early, I was even given a complimentary upgrade to the concierge floor, AND there were assorted snacks (nuts, chocolate covered strawberries) Evian and juices waiting for me in the room. I've stayed here numerous times, but never have I had service quite like that
The complimentary breakfast in the concierge lounge was pretty good, lots of choices for fruits and pastries. The computer access in there also came in handy for printing a few things.
Of the dozen or so times I've stayed at the Houstonian, it never fails to please me - and with this last trip, it has even raised my standards!

Stayed here for a night. The one thing that was good about the hotel was the pool, which was great for kids. The bathroom was way too small but the shower was very powerful and nice. The rooms were just average size. Walking around the hotel grounds itself is very pleasant. The breakfast was rather disappointing for an American hotel. The bed was comfortable. Its a quaint hotel but a bit too dark.

Hmmmm.... don't have a whole lot to say. I personally would rather stay at a Holiday Inn or somewhere that at least gives you some kind of breakfast the next morning. There was nothing special about the Houstonian. I tried their spa treatment and nothing special. At 200 a night I would have expected something to stand out.
