My husband has stayed at this Sofitel Houston for at least 10 bednights a year for over 5 years, also booking at least 6 of his employees to stay here for up to 2 months at a time, this hotel will never have a dime out of him again after our stay this month.
Crowne Plaza have taken over, yeah ok, is that reason for the customer to pay the price?
From soft downy, pure cotton sheets and feather pillows and duvets to polyester and poor quality blankets and cumbersome comforters. From "Eggs and Co" fine french cuisine breakfasts to "No eggs today Maam, you have to expect that...we're changing hands!" From a fine selection of fine wines and spirits and a lovely bar staff to.............no beer, yep no beer!
On departure.............no computer Ma'am (wait for it) We're changing hands! I left my details for my bill to be emailed onto me. After a week of nagging it arrived they had of course already taken the money off my card; not too slow in that department!
If you're expecting the Crowne Plaza to maintain the service you received at The Sofitel............you'll be disappointed.
Funny thing is though it's the same staff, shows what a good hotel manager can achieve.
