I had a very pleasant stay at the Crowne Plaza Greenspoint over the Thanksgiving weekend. I recieved a very favorable rate on hotwire.com so that may influence the way I experienced the hotel. Check-in was easy and pleasant. I was granted an early check in with no problems or fees, and I was given a king bed when I asked for it. The lobby is grand and beautiful and the hotel is currently under renovation. The noise did not bother us, but we were not in the room between the hours of 12noon and 8pm, so I cannot say whether it would have been disruptive. The room was well appointed with the most comfortable bed I've ever slept in. It was well decorated and had the standard features: desk, couch, sitting chairs, TV and stand, bedside tables, and another long table across from the bed. There were standard amenities like iron/ironing board, coffeemaker, etc. However, there was no fridge/minibar which would have been nice. The TV was fine but the channel selection left much to be desired. The bathroom was clean and well stocked, but the sink did have a crack in it, and there was no way to clear the steam from the room. In sum the room was lovely and simple. Those looking to be swaddled in luxury would probably not be satisfied. The hotel was conveniently located off the highway and was suitable for my needs, which were visiting relatives in that general area of town. Overall I found this a very pleasant experience aesthetically and otherwise. The staff was friendly and accomodating. Parking was easy and felt safe. I would have liked to have stayed a few more days!

Stayed at this hotel for business with 3 colleagues. Location was good to navigate throughout Houston area. Desk staff/bellhops were polite and very helpful as we had shipped materials to the hotel in advance and they had to locate them late at night when we arrived. Breakfast omelet with salmon was awesome. Room was comfortable and shower good, though the drainage needed to be worked on badly. Other than that, would stay there again.

This seems to be a place for business conferences, with an impressive center courtyard several stories tall. When I got the room at a cheap price online, I went to their web site to check out if I'd really got a deal or not. They listed the room at around $200, so price-wise it seemed great. However, I was to find out that what I paid was more appropriate as it was a bit worn-out overall. Also, on the web site, the chain has a desire to comfort you & offer elegance, which they pretty much met with elegant (if old) furnishings. Pop machine $1.75, so that shows you the prices. Front desk staff very professional. Located off the highway, so it was quiet. The (furnishings, carpeting, tv, etc.) seem to be a bit worn out. The carpet in the hallway and in my room was damaged (water & other reddish stains & not adhering well). The bathroom was nice with a tub and seemed to be new. The tv seemed to be a bit small and/or old for a hi-quality hotel. It's centrally located near main highways and airport; and there is a shuttle bus every 30 min. and/or free parking for your car.

I did not like this hotel because it did not offer 24 hour shuttle service to the hotel. It serves an international airport...it should. For the price you pay to stay there, it should provide the shuttle plus breakfast, at least. I've stayed at more economic pricced hotels who offer shuttles 24 hours plus a great breakfast. On the good side: The room was clean and comfie.
