My husband and two young children took a short weekend trip to the Houston area and we loved the hotel. We had a great view overlooking the lake. The room were very nice. We enjoyed the pool and would have enjoyed the onsite water activities had we had more time. I would recommend spending the little extra to get a room with a view, because we found it to be very relaxing. We liked it so much we are going to make it a once a year tradition.

I've stayed here many times over the past 6 years on business trips to NASA. The view from the rooms can be great if you get one overlooking the lake, but most of the rooms are musty smelling, have old, tired looking decor, and broken fittings. Stay clear of the restaurant, the food is pretty bad.
The rates are usually quite low, so its not a bad deal, just don't expect it to be up to the standard of most Hiltons.

As we were looking for a good property at a decent rate, I found the Hilton Houston NASA. It is located directly across the street from Johnson Space Center and looks over Clear Lake. Evidently this property has not been discovered, as the rates are awesome.

As there are many things to do in the area, including jet ski rental and Parasailing on site, we also wandered to Kemah Boardwalk - 5 miles away. While we were at the hotel, a charter boat pulled up to the docks and took a group out on the lake.

I highly recommend this hotel to business people and families alike.
