This one of the better hotels by the airport, if not the best of them all. The rooms are newly done and with very comfortable bedding and pillows. Extremely comfortable beds. The desk area, entertainment center, furniture and the rest are very nicely and tastefully done. They have obviously made the improvements that have been mentioned in prior reviews which rip this hotel to shreds.

The Bar and Restaurant is very "sports" oriented. The lobby is very spacious and inviting, with a sunken gathering area and business center with two computers. The gift shop has all the possible amenities a business or tourist traveler could possibly need. Room service is top notch and is available 24/7.

The garden/pool/hot tub area in the center of the hotel property is really stunning and very well landscaped.

Staff are so friendly and accomodating. The shuttle driver to the airport was very nice and got me to my terminal is no time. Kudos to the staff at the Doubletree.

  • Liked — Beautifully designed interiors and plenty of closet space and sitting areas.
  • Disliked — Nothing.

I stayed here in January 2007 for a business trip. The free shuttle from the airport arrived within about 10 minutes of when I walked to the pickup area (you have to call the hotel when you arrive). The hotel was undergoing some construction, so the outside was a bit torn up. The room was a good size and everything was clean and looked well maintained. The bed was very comfortable - possibly the most comfortable hotel bed I've ever slept in. There was occasional noise from the airport, but it never woke me up. The workout room was larger than I expected, had several machines to choose from, and was free. The hotel restaurant had a nice breakfast buffet with standard fare. I walked by the outside pool, which looked inviting. Overall, the hotel was great for the business trip I was on, but I probably wouldn't stay here on vacation because it is located so far away from everything, except the airport.

  • Liked — It was comfortable, and close to the airport

Just got back in Holland from a weeks stay at this hotel. It was my first time ever to stay in a hotel..Me end my co-workers arrived (after been picked up by the airportshufflle, great job!!) on saturday Nov. 11 up until nov. 18 end had a great time, friendly personel, clean rooms witch i found were a bit to dark so you had to put on the lights would you see something, but very clean and good service.Just 2 things to say, #1 was a very loud airco-unit wich could not be turned off so you had to try to sleep with tha ------ thing on..#2 was the pour choice of food witch was served in the hotel's restaurant (more in the roomservice's menu)
Had a very pleassent stay and wel absolutly plan on commin over again..(if it was only for Derrick's sportsbar,u know who..)

  • Liked — friendly people
  • Disliked — airco unit

I have stayed at this particular Hyatt five or six times over the last few years. It would be disappointing to stay here as part of a vacation, but fine for business.

The best thing it has going for it is the staff. Everyone is friendly and things seem to be done pretty efficiently. Complimentary shuttle to/from the airport works fine and I've never had to wait more than a few seconds to check in or check out.

The major downside is the rooms. They are comfortable enough, but very dismal - when I arrive I go around switching on all the lights, but it is never bright enough. Plus, when I go to bed, I have to go around switching them all off again, as there is no central control!

The thing that annoys me most is the drapes - they are permanently fixed half way across the window, so you can't close them and you can't open them. Annoying if you need to sleep during the day or if you just want to let in more light. There are some blinds too, but they are not much good at keeping out the summer sunshine.

The airconditioning in the rooms is fairly noisy too. It doesn't bother me personally, but if you're sensitive to that kind of thing, I wouldn't recommend you stay here unless it's at a time of year when you won't need it at night.

Overall, I would say it's fine for a business stay of a few days, or for a one night rest if you've just come off a long flight - but I'd want to make sure I didn't pay too much for the room.

Very tired property. Worn everything in the rooms; cracked tile, missing knobs on furniture, toilet not functioning properly, dirty. I expect dirty and worn at Motel 6, not at Hyatt.
