Room was ok as was the price, but the hotel is REALLY noisy. On our second night the entire 2nd floor was booked for a birthday party and the music floated up the elevator shaft. I thought the music was from across the hall and it was actually 8 floors down. I complained 4 times and the front desk said they couldn't do anything about it because catering had booked the party and they didn't have authority to shut it down (HUH????). I couldn't leave or switch rooms because my 2 kids were fast asleep in an adjoining room. Better me on no sleep than them. The next morning I recieved a 75% refund which appealed to the cheap side of me. I felt sorry for the others who had reserved (and paid from on-line sites)- they couldn't get a refund from the hotel. I would NEVER stay again - a VERY unsafe location - would book something in Galleria.

I travel to Houston for business at least six times a year and this was the most frightening hotel I have experienced in the area. The neighborhood is commercial/industrial and feels unsafe at night.

In spite of an effort at remodeling, the age of this property shows through. The lobby and rooms smell of paint. Rooms only show a superficial effort at remodeling.

The staff at the front desk is more interested in continuing their conversation than helping a gold level Hilton HHonors member.

Breakfast in the restaurant was a major disappointment. Food was greasy and there was a lack in variety.

Very dirty! GROSS is more like it and this is after the renovation. Lousy, noisy, nasty for a Hilton. Check-in took over 1/2 hr. We didn't get what we booked but understand it is not guaranteed. Line was long and very angry customers, wanted to get to their room. The hotel messed up just about everyone reservation. We were told our room was ready after 20 minutes, not true. The cart was blocking the room because the cleaning lady was still cleaning. Finally got into the room. Bathroom smell like urine, towels were kind of brown, old smell, sticky brown liquid on floor, walls were stained, handicapped room was old and smelly. What a mess. The worst we ever had. NOISES, DOOR SLAMING, MORE NOISES, MGT RUDE, we checked out asap afer one night and demanded our money back and got it. Others customers were checking as fast as they could too.
PLEASE DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL ! I will not stay in this hotel even if it free.

Slap a coat of paint on the outside and call it new. Moldy shower, door security latch broken off and gone, requested a coffee packet from housekeeping twice-no response. Room service trays sat outside my room all day. Wasn't expecting to arrive back in the evening to see what was left of my breakfast staring at me! I am a diamond member at Hilton because it is the only chain with varying prices and prperties that has consistantly satisfactory hotels. They should take the Hilton name off this hotel to keep it that way!
