the best thing i can say is the van drivers are the best in the area! they will stay after hours and make special trips, courteous, helpful and friendly. there is limited service on weekends and holidays though. but that is enough to warrent a stay there if you don't have transportation. they also run several drivers daily, making them one of the most frequent vans running in the area with service starting at 7am. some of the drivers act like tour guides and are very charming.

the resturant in the hotel is thumbs down. the food tasted like stouffers. there is a burger king and pizza hut in the parking lot and that's it. the lobby shop has a few items but very high priced. i was surprised at how far the light rail stop is, it looked much closer on the map.

the drivers do make scheduled runs to the grocery stores and rice village, so the kitchenettes are useful. i found the rooms clean and comfortable. they also have a selection of paperbacks available in the lobby too, which i found to be a nice feature.

overall the service was pleasant, no complaints. the phones are old, i did loose messages if they weren't picked up quickly. i've also had a billing error, and it was finally settled in my favor.

i've stayed at this hotel more than once and would stay again because of the service - there are definatley worse hotels in the area.

if it weren't for the staff at this hotel, i would rate this a complete dud, the rooms were tired and worn, not particularly clean, the pool area was fine, but the rooms need to be updated and cleaned up. front desk staff was particularly helpful, shuttle driver to rodeo was a hoot.

Needs MAJOR renovating! We first experienced a 77* room upon arrival. Upon return from the Livestock Show, our room was still hot. So we dropped it as low as possible and then slept with just a sheet. Bathroom was old and dirty. Pubic hairs on "clean" towels and a rather obvious stain on the couch cushion! When we checked out, they had charged us double for our room and the reason was that we had a "suite," in which we didn't request. So they fixed the price rate to reflect a regular room. This hotel has also been taken over by foreigners. I recommend the Marriott in the medical center. The rates are higher, but well worth the cleanliness!
