i booked through corporate and got excellent corporate rate, so the value for me was extremely high. if i got the price of 180 (averaged) shown here, i would give still give it 4.5*

suite is very large. nice closed-off kitchen. main room spacious, with large granite dining table, separate work table, and flat panel 32".. storage/closet/bathroom is nicely segregated from bedroom. bedroom is also large, with 2 queen sized bed. i was on the 18th "hhonors" floor, so perhaps it is an upgraded room.

the decor is much more modern than shown on tripadvisor user-submitted photos.

would highly recommend this to colleages.

The hotel has great new guest rooms--I hadn't stayed there in several years and thought I was in a different hotel! Decor is really modern and there are tons of amenities throughout the rooms. Food in restaurant was really good, also! Will definitely stay there again soon!

I just returned from a very quick overnight in Houston, staying at the Doubletree. These suite-style rooms are probably as large as my first appartment! I actually looked at the floor plan to see if my room (situated around the corner, behind a service area) was larger than others, but it was actually minuscully smaller.

I was also pleasantly surpised the toiletries (all Neutrogena) included a face wash and SPF daily face moisturizer in addition to the normal shampoo, conditioner, lotion.

The bed was comfortable, but I was glad I had earplugs as I was on the 9th floor on street-side of the building and could hear quite a bit of traffic noise. The birds were also unusually loud due to trees in the area between the hotel and road.

The bathtub area grout could use some touch-ups, but was clean. The fixtures were all new. I always appreciate the towel rack in the shower area!

If you have other options, I'd skip the dining room. For breakfast there's a $17 buffet or you could order off the menu. WHen ordering off the menu, they basically bring you food from the buffet. It's fairly small, no frills, but they did keep the coffee cups filled. If you're on an expense paid business trip, it's convenient, but if I had to stay there very long, I'd find other options.

I had 2 major concerns before staying here: they were under renovation and they were a pet friendly hotel. Both concerns were eliminated when we checked-in.

Hotel renovations are almost complete, just finishing up the lobby. I am allergic to pets and was afraid the hotel room would smell like a pet. It did not because we had great maid service. She organized our personal toiletries in the bathroom.

The room decor was great. We had a small, but operable kitchen that included a stove, fridge, sink, utensils, and plates. There were no pots for cooking...

A beautiful full living room area that included marble dining table, work desk, sofa bed, comfortable sitting chairs and outdoor balcony. We also had a flat screen TV.

The bedroom was simple with 2 double beds and a night stand. The mattresses and pillows were great. I slept comfortably every night.

The bathroom was nice including a wide mirror, ample counter space, toilet and shower.

They had a new renovated gym that had treadmills, elliptical, free weights, exercise balls, and towels. If that was not enough for you, you also had a guest pass to the local Bally's. The complimentary shuttle could take you there.

Downsides of the hotel: Self-parking is $11/day and valet is $20/day. It is garaged parking, so the car does not get too hot. We were on the 22nd floor near the main highway and you can hear the traffic below. Also internet access is given for a fee.

The staff and the accomodations are exceptional. The breakfast buffet is vast, the location is unbeatable and the view is awesome. The only let-down was having a full kitchen, but no saucepans!

  • Liked — HUGE comfortable bed
