I have stayed at this hotel on four different occasions now and each time the hotel has been excellent.

The rooms are large and clean and what you would expect for a Marriott.

The hotel can get extremely busy at time with conferences but the staff was always polite and helpful with any questions/queries you have.

This is the hotel I would stay at for this part of town. th epool and jacuzzi was great and enough sun loungers for everybody.

The only issue I did have was that the door key didn't always work and they always said I and it next to my cell or keys and that was why it didn't work. I suspect they reset the keys a lot cause one day I just had my book and the key and it still didn't work!!

I stayed at the Marriott Westchase with my husband for two nights last week. It exceeded our expectations, and I was a little leery after reading some of the reviews here (after I had booked the stay). I shouldn't have worried! The hotel has ample FREE parking. Beautiful lobby. Extremely friendly staff. Every time one passed me by, they said hello and asked if I needed anything.

We had the Stay for Breakfast rate which included the breakfast buffet each morning. Well worth it, since it only added $10 to the room, but would've been over $30 for the two of us each morning, otherwise. Great choices from healthy fresh fruit all the way down to cheese blintzes, and omelettes made while you wait.

The bed was wonderful, piled high with pillows and a down comforter. The one negative to the room was the small bathroom, as noted by other reviewers. You could almost use the toilet, wash your hands and take a shower all at the same time! Barely room for two to stand in there at the vanity at the same time, unless one wedged between the vanity and toilet. So, if a spacious bath is what you want, this is not it. It's very well-appointed, but really lacks space. We had no problem with hot water. There was plenty of it, and it was there right away.

Overall, excellent place and I would definitely stay there again if in the area. Shop around: I did and found no comparable hotel for the price.

I stayed here for 5 nights recently as part of a work trip and this is a fabulous hotel. Great rooms and beds. Staff are very friendly, courteous and aim to please.
Food and drink very good.
Gymnasium and indoor / outdoor pools fantastic also a HOT jacuzzi too.
Hotel laundry service was very good but I'd advise not to have anything more than just light starching on clothing!
I could go on about this hotel but won't bore you. Suffice to say I'd be very happy to stay here again if I ever get the opportunity to visit Houston again.

  • Liked — Fabulous comfortable bed to sleep in.
  • Disliked — Nothing to dislike, The Marriot take care of everything.

We had a last minute trip to Houston for a funeral. We got a great rate for three nights at this hotel via Priceline. We were treated very well upon check-in and asked if we preferred a king bed (rather than the two doubles that Priceline booked). We also requested a room with an outside view versus having our room window looking into the atrium.

Despite what was said in a previous review not all of the rooms have atrium views. In fact probably only about a third of the rooms face the interior so if you prefer more privacy from your window and view of the surrounding area just ask. I do agree that in atrium view rooms you would need to keep your curtains closed for any privacy so those rooms are probably quite dark. We had a decent view (see photo) from our west facing 4th floor room and it was very sunny.

We had a nice room with a very comfortable bed and pillows. Small bathroom but with great Bath and Body Works products and a long granite counter with lots of space for our things. It had the standard size tub/shower combo with a curved shower rod.

It did not have a refrigerator or mini bar but did have a coffee maker with coffee supplied daily. We had good maid service and our tips were rewarded with double coffee and Bath and Body Works products each day. I also requested robes which were promptly delivered.

This hotel is in a great location off Westheimer with many restaurants nearby, not too far from the Galleria and is just a block off Beltway 8 for easy access in and out of town. Free self parking is available in a very large lot.

On Sunday afternoon they have a wonderful Jazz combo playing in the lobby for the brunch crowd. The lobby is nice for sitting and reading. Besides the main restaurant and bar there is a small Starbucks coffee shop. We didn't use the pool but both the indoor and outdoor pool areas look nice. The outdoor pool area is well landscaped to give it a feeling of privacy. Our only complaint was there is NO free wifi anywhere in the hotel. In-room internet was $9.95 but was very poor slow service.

Upon checking out the clerk said our bill included a meal which we did not eat. He doubled checked the receipt and found it was billed to the wrong room so of course he promptly removed the charge. Everyone we dealt with on the staff was very pleasant.

We would return to this hotel if we are back in the Houston area. On a previous visit we stayed at the Hilton near the Galleria which we also liked but the traffic in that area is worse and the hotels there charge for parking.

  • Liked — Great location, Jazz band on Sundays
  • Disliked — Terrible internet service

If you stay here, definitely go swimming to see their pool. They have a fun indoor/outdoor pool.

The room was large and luxurious.

I didn't enjoy the dining, but it could be because I'm a vegetarian and this is Texas. Anything without meat was full of fat and cream, and I had a hard time finding something healthy and vegetarian.
