Our room, the Lollie Dee, was spacious and attractively furnished. The large whirlpool tub was an extra bonus. The refrigerator was always stocked with cold drinks, (you need them in Houston) and there was always something yummy to snack on, cookies, cake, etc. Breakfast was worlds apart from the typical complimentary breakfast you get from motels. The host, John, was very attentive and accomodating. He packed us a hot breakfast for our early 6 AM departure. There's parking there and the light train nearby. We highly recommend staying here if you go to Houston.

Stayed at the Patrician last fall, ending a cross country tour of every major league ballpark. Houston was my last stop and the Patrician was my only bed and breakfast -- I could not have been happier with my choice of lodging in Houston. As spread out as Houston is, the Patrician is a good choice -- not far from downtown, a few blocks from the excellent Houston Museum of Fine Arts and the wonderful Hermann Park. Hosts were absolutely wonderful, and extremely accomodating, as I had an early check in and a very early check out. Great atmosphere, wonderful furnishings, including great four-poster bed. The web site advertisements are extremely accurate. Everything you could want from a bed and breakfast.

We had a wonderful stay at the Patrician Bed and Breakfast. Pat and John were fantastic hosts. The room we stayed in, Lollie Dee, was spacious and had a jacuzzi bath for two. The home is well decorated and many antiques.

The breakfast was fantastic. Coffee, juice and grapefruit. Then there was lemon poppyseed cake and later a great cheezy egg cassarole.

I look forward to doing it again soon.

By the way they are three blocks from a light rail stop that will put you into the heart of downtown.
