We, along with several other parents and children who are members of a sports team, recently stayed at this hotel. The lobby area was beautiful and very deceiving of the actual quality of the hotel.

First of all, the elevator was very small. Only about 4 adults could fit into it at one time. The doors of the elevator closed very fast and did not reopen if your arm, leg or whatever happened to get stuck in it. You have to pull the doors back open to continue in or out of it.

Once on our floor there was a horrible stench of mold and musk. Although the smell did not follow us into the room, the carpet was filthy (luckily I always bring slippers) and had wet areas. A pair of socks that my young daughter walked around the room in, were black on the bottom. The tub was only as big as a large shower stall,it was dirty and did not drain well. The towels were worn and rough, although the sheets smelled freshly laundered. There were very few outlets so electrical appliances/lamps were plugged into many extention cords, very dangerous. We had to unplug the hair dryer to use the iron and the coffe pot to charge our cell phones.

The soap provided was old and a no name brand, I had brought my own soap, shampoo, etc. I didn't dare try any of the coffe that was in the room.

The worst part of it was the "Full Hot Breakfast" that was provided in the morning. From a glance, it looked like they would have a pretty good set up, a large area to eat with table & chairs. A large Buffet serving station. But, all they had on the buffet was cold, soggy scrambled eggs, chopped up, cold, wet white potatoes, rock-hard biscuits, a toaster for bread that only toasted on one side, and "orange juice" that tasted like water with sugar and orange coloring. As a sports team, we always look for reasonably priced hotels that serve some type of complimentary breakfast in the morning, this was very disappointing.

The only reason we did not change hotels was that we got there late in the evening and were going to be checking out at 7:00 a.m. This hotel used to be part of the Best Western Chain, but that is no longer the case. If I could give less than one star rating to this place, I would.

This is the worst hotel that I ever stayed in. Please do not stay here with your family. It is dirty and has a creepy atmosphere. The staff is horrible, it smells sour. We had no hot water in the bathroom and other guests were given a passcard to our room on the second night, they walked into our room and scared my children. Just plain terrible.

“An OK hotel”

We used this hotel to accomodate our Family Reunion in July of 2003 and were pleased overall. The rates were reasonable for the area and everyone liked the balconies in every room. There were only 2 complaints I personally hadand they were minor. The first was that there was no meat(bacon, sausage, etc...) served with the complimentary breakfast. When we asked about this we were told that we could pay an extra $600 to add meat for the 2 mornings we were to be there. We declined as this buffet would be accessable to all guest, not just our family. The second was that the staff had no knowledge of the area as far as where I could find a Bank One branch or a self-service carwash.
As I said, these are minor complaints but something to be improved upon.
