The hotel has a nice pool and the rooms are decent but all of this was overshadowed by terrible service throughout our stay recently. We waited for more than an hour at the pool for a server and had to track one down who seemed annoyed that we wanted to order something. Delivery of the food was slow and follow-up non existent. The next morning our breakfast experience was horrible. Rude staff followed by extremely slow service and then in correct orders. We also were stranded at the mall for ninety minutes and repeatedly told the shuttle was five minutes away. We ended up taking a cab. We requested a newspaper that never arrived and the housekeeping staff came to clean our room at 430 pm when we were trying to get ready for dinner. Each time we tried to address our concerns with a manager we were told one would call because they were never on duty but that never happened. Instead we received a passive email after we returned home. I have to hope a city like Houston has much better options than this hotel
