Great for business travelers. Small rooms but I was hardly in the room. The staff at the front desk and valet were friendly, professional, and very helpful.

Great location and very central if you have business downtown. Good price as well. The Houston locals I spoke to hadn't heard of this place but i took a risk based on the other reviews on TripAdvisor and it paid off!

Staff was unfriendly and not flexible with reservations. Had to postpone my trip to Houston because the city was being evacuated for Hurricane Ike. I was still charged for cancelling my room. Unbelievable.

Great location, but so are a bunch of other hotels for business travelers.

I came to Houston to catch the Astros play. This hotel is a few short walk - about 6 minutes to the ballpark. For that it's great. The hotel is located in the business district so it's pretty much a ghost town on the weekend. Some shady character here and there but for the most part felt safe -
The service was good. Asked to change my room after the first night because I was right next to the elevator and they gave me no problems. Helpful in finding restaurants and getting directions to the freeway.
Free internet in room worked perfectly. Also have a lovely lobby.

I would definately stay there if I was ever to vist Houston again.

This is my second stay at a Club Quarters, and there's something about them that just leaves me unsatisfied, for no real reason. I know that they are a membership-based chain, and thus fit more the corporate housing market, but for a chain that does that, I'm surprised that the amenities aren't at the same quality as other business traveler hotels. I don't like the self-service aspect of the hotel, especially when you make the trek to the self-service closet on your floor only to find that all the irons and ironing boards are taken (as I did) - they you inevitably have to call guest services anyway. Because of this model, the hotel seems understaffed - all staff though at this location were very cordial and helpful when called upon.

The free Internet throughout the hotel was a big plus, and I was upgraded to a suite upon arrival (always a good thing). The TV in the living area could have been larger, and the furniture was a bit old. Relative to other competing hotels, the bed is far less comfortable, but nothing too bad.

Overall, it's an average hotel that didn't have anything special about it. I would probably stay there again just due to the price (about $100 cheaper than the Sheraton in Houston), but without any loyalty program or something remotely differentiating, it's a tough sell.

The hotel is in heart of downtown. The hotel has small rooms but is nice. The service is great. The Ladys at the reception area make you feeel welcome. Nancy went above and beyond to help us book reservations. Thank you Nancy. The valet area needs some help. I drove up to the valet area in the evening time and no one was outside. The morning valet (older man) was not nice. He must have had a bad day. But over all hotel is a gem.
