I refuse to rate a restaurant lower because a favorite waiter is no longer there. Why do you rate an establishment as a whole lower because one server is no longer working there. Servers change frequently, especially in this economy. Waitstaff come and go, and not just here. Maybe they quit and go somewhere else, get in legal trouble, or just don't show up to work. Don't punish the establishment for something they don't have control over. It's silly to post a review like that.
It's also silly to rate an establishment as poor because you feel you were insulted during an emergency situation. Think of all the times you went there and everything was absolutley wonderful (which is the reason you kept coming back in the first place). The one time a medical emergency happens, things happen differently, so now you are looking for another place to eat? Fine, go to Cilantro Cocino instead or The Casa, they would treat it the same, and I'll bet they also demand payment for the meal. What exactly are they supposed to do? They are a business, not medical personnel.
My family has lived in the area and been eating at El Imperial at leat once a week for 15 years. They say Hello when we walk in, they know what tables we like, and are very attentive, no matter who is our server. The food is consistent tasting (other than the one night we went and the salsa was extremely HOT) and they add things on occasion to the menu to keep it fresh. Speaking of fresh, I've never had stale chips or veggies here, or any food that I thought might be leftover from the previous day. The setting is intimate and on weekends, there's even entertainment.
