Food used to be better, but is still decent. They've toned down the seasonings, so there's not a whole lot of flavor any more. The specialty is fried Gulf of Mexico seafood, so I wouldn't recommend looking for or ordering Atlantic or Pacific seafood, as it would likely be a special they're not that familiar with the preparation of.
The crowd is usually quite loud, with a lot of larger groups of 8-12 (or more) people. Be prepared for a long wait, especially on weekends, as I don't believe that reservations are taken.
Prices are relatively low, and portions are usually quite large.
