“Resort -- not so much”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 3, 2014

The best thing about this "resort" is the couple who run the office. Absolutely wonderful people who continually strive to keep on top of issues. The facility is fairly new and well kept but "resort" does not seem a correct term to use. Many residents live there fulltime and may have not traveled around to have an understanding of RV etiquette -- loud music booming in their vehicle as they drive through the facility, honking their horns to get the attention of someone in an RV, dogs barking and some not on leashes, and way too many children living in tight quarters -- aren't there laws for how many children can live in a room in an apartment? Apparently not so for RVs because several families with three and four kids live there fulltime. The kids play in what is literally the "street" at the facility -- with vehicles continually passing by. Fridges placed outside the RV's along with various other items that give an image often seen in not-the-best trailer parks. The office folks do an admirable job of trying to deal with those who have no clue about how to live in harmony with their RV neighbors, but there seems to be no end to the line of idiots who are, sadly, bringing their trailer park mentality to what was probably intended to be a fine "resort".

It is one of the cleanest parks I have stayed in. They had at least 2 baths with showers that were spotless. Everywhere you look is concrete. Needless to say, the sites are very level. They have small trees planted, once these get larger it will help
downplay the concrete. Everything looks new & well maintained. Beautiful pool & hot tub area. Great gym with free ice, water, coffee & popcorn. The entrance has a security gate that operates day & night. This was a great feature in a city the size of Houston. Excellent cable & wifi. Overall it was a nice, safe place to stay.

Stayed for the weekend in a fifth wheel. Concrete streets and level pads. Free cable tv and wifi all over the park. Caught some nice fish in the lake and also enjoyed the pool and hot tub. The recreation building is gorgeous with pool table and large screen tv. Gorgeous showers and restrooms kept amazingly clean. Will definately be going back soon.

Nice lake, level sites, pool, dog area, friendly folks. Would recommend, but very little shade. Good cable and wifi. Had outdoor kitchen for grilling. Also has swings arranged around the lake for guest enjoyment. Very clean and well maintained property. We also stayed at Northlake RV Resort and that one was nice as well. Both properties are fairly new. Understand there is a Eastlake as well.
