Thai Cottage is good Thai food in a hurry. The restaurant is small, clean and cozy, and is good for a casual date, family dinner, or just a quick, comforting meal. This location also does a lot of to-go orders, and food is always packaged well so it doesn't get soggy during your commute home.
The restaurant serves beer & wine at low prices, but they do not have an extensive menu of either.
My favorite dish here is the catfish curry. It's two large, panko-breaded and fried fillets of catfish served with your choice of red or green curry and rice (I choose the green curry because I like the veggies that come with it - bamboo shoots, peas, zucchini & basil). The catfish portions are very thick and fresh. For $13.95, this is enough for two huge meals, though I usually can make it into 3 or 4 if I'm actually controlling my portions.
My husband loves the chicken curry (red, green, yellow and panang - we're not picky!) and the soft shrimp rolls (similar to other Thai restaurant appetizers). Over the years we've also had the pad Thai, fried rice (LOVE the crab fried rice & pineapple version), chili basil, tiger cried, as well as various tofu & veggie dishes. All were good, as are the other apps/soups we've tried: cheese rolls, curry puffs & Tom Yum. Listen to what your tummy is craving and I don't think you can go wrong with anything here, especially for the price.
Note: for curries as well as some other dishes, you can specify spiciness. Level 3 is a pretty good middle-of-the-road spice (their default spice level if you don't specify) and 5 is pretty intense, and I can take the heat. I usually hover around a 3 or 4 because I want to enjoy the flavor of the meal, not just the spiciness.
