“TexMex with twist”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 7, 2013

Different sauces to put on and dip with. No break on the lack of healthy versions, but good salsa and chips to start. Fish tacos are a break from the usual chili gravy norm.

“Always Leaves Me Saying "Boom Boom"”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 6, 2013

Visited this location on Cinco de Mayo and was lucky to find a space in the parking lot. This location is always busy, and with good reason. The food is good. The drinks are good. And the t-shirts are hilarious! Just go expecting to wait in the bar and enjoy a pre-meal cocktail. :-)

The margaritas are quite good. Or opt for the "Texas Martini" served in a shaker with jalapeno stuffed olives...highly recommended.

The tortilla chips are light and crispy, served with chunky red sauce and the creamy jalapeno dip (which is an absolute MUST!)

Favorite dishes include the queso, "big as yo face" burritos, the hatch green chili enchiladas (a daily special) and my favorite...the "Chicka-Chicka-Boom-Boom." The "Boom Boom" sauce has a nice spice level that accumulates to a wonderful burn in the mouth, and can be added as an upgrade to any dish. The green chili rice is full of flavor, and VERY different than traditional Spanish rice.

If you like happy hour check out the bar, where you can enjoy drink specials and visit the "nacho bar" for munchies. (YUM!)

P.S. Hey, Chuy's, if you're listening, I'd give you a 5-star rating if you served black beans (whole or refried) ;-)

“1800 miles dreaming of Tex Mex”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 28, 2013

Had just driven down from Connecticut, and much Cajun eating in Louisiana had adversely affected the power to weight ratio of the car, which now sighed as it faced hills, but still I craved Tex Mex, the gorgeous melange that is a great fajita. Ate here , job done. Can now return home to the land of curries, i.e England. Funny you can't get a decent curry in the US for 'luv or money' and the same applies to Mexican food in the UK, there are rare and modest exceptions but not many. Next stop Houston Airport.

“Good Mexican food ... reasonable price”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 23, 2013

Loved this restaurant. Good atmosphere. Really friendly and funny staff. Food was great! Especially the chips and salsa they serve as soon as you sit down. Stones throw from shopping or George Bush Intercontinental airport.

“Tex Mex at its best”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 20, 2013

Amazing Tex Mex at very cheap prices. Only downside is it is usually quite crowded on weekend nights. Whole family loves it here and we can always count on a good meal at a great price with great service.
