“Best potato salad in town!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 27, 2014

We LOVE this place. It's a drive from where we live but it's worth it every time. Burgers are awesome, potato salad is the bomb and their Sunday brunch is to die for. This is a must stop if you can find it. Glad they rebuilt after the fire years ago!

“Great food, customer service!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 23, 2014

I went to Baba Yega for the first time on this past Saturday for my group's book club meeting/girls lunch. I was very impressed...we all ordered different dishes so I was able to taste the steak/potato meal, the stuffed mushrooms, the flatbread/salad combo which all were very good. And I ordered the strawberry cake for dessert, and OMG!! That cake was beyond delicious, I've been thinking it ever since. The service was great, and our server was very attentive, which I appreciate...customer service is very important to me. I plan on taking my husband next week so he can see just what I'm talking about. I highly suggest anyone to try them, you won't be disappointed.

“Real neighborhood restaurant, good burgers”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 20, 2014

This is a restaurant seated in the middle of the gay area in Houston so if you have a problem with gay people then you will not like it. Here you will see trasvestis, gays showing signs of affection and heterosexual people all in a friendly atmosphere enjoying this little establishment.
The place is very clean and the food is delicious, people are NOT loud they respect your privacy so you enjoy your meal.Clean restrooms but PARKING is really bad since the restaurant only has 7 spots to park, there is more parking at the back, but if you go after 7 p.m. they will assume you are going to the clubs next door and the attendant will try to charge you parking, you TELL him you are going to dinner and should be NO PROBLEM. Recommended to have dinner and enjoy the scene.

“Neighborhood Gem!!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 18, 2014

This is a great restaurant hidden away in Montrose. Everything from the salads, to the burgers to the desserts - all are delicious. Brunch on Sunday is busy but always worth the wait. Great for couples, families, business - all occasions. The service is casual but always attentive. You can't go wrong with this choice there is something for everyone and the outside area at the back is really lovely

“Garlic, onions, and Salt!”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed June 2, 2014

They flavor the appetizers with garlic, onions and salt. The salads come the same way -- garlic, onions and salt. The main courses have extra garlic, onions, with double extra salt. Meats are marinated for a very long time in vinegar flavored with garlic, onions, and salt so everything tastes the same. They even advertise vegetarian specialties, but they are just shredded vegetables stir-fried with garlic, onions, and salt.
Bring a breath mint. Or two.

We can assure you there are plenty more seasonings in our kitchen than those three, Odis. If you're a fan of vegetarian cooking, be sure to take a closer look at our menu -- they range from Black Bean Burgers to Vegetarian Meatloaf, as we pride ourselves on having a little something for everyone!

If you'd like to share more feedback about what you've tried, don't hesitate to get in contact with us.
