My husband and I live in Houston and have been to this restaurant many times. The food is very good, and they have an extensive wine list. However, I was extremely disappointed when I just called a few moments ago to make a reservation for Sunday for four. I asked for a quiet table, as my father is hard of hearing, and I was told that the whole restaurant will be packed and loud on Sunday. I know this is not true, as I have been there on a Sunday and depending on which room you are seated, it can be quieter or louder. I then specifically told the hostess that I did not want to be in a specific room, which I know to be loud. I asked her for a table for four at 11am. She asked if we could make it 11:15, and I said yes. She then said, "Actually, for tables of four, we like to have them at 10, 12, or 2. Can you come in at 12?" Now I have eaten in restaurants throughout the U.S. and all over the world, and I have never heard of the need to seat a table of four at two hour increments. I told her that we would be dining elsewhere on Sunday and likely I'll be dining elsewhere for a long time to come. And I will definitely be in touch with the manager to let them know.
