“Pork Chop Heaven”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 6, 2013

This is one of the best restaurants in the Houston area. We went here for both my and my husband's birthdays. They have great service and the pork chop is actually a pork roast that they carve at the table. The special birthday desert is very well plated, and delicious.

“Uncomfortable”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed March 3, 2013

This is our third trip to Perrys in Clear Lake. The first time my food was burned. The managers were very nice, and took it off the bill. The second, we were a party of four. We had reservations, and were seated at a table for 6 or 8. The room was very loud. Being seated at the oversized table forced us to shout at each other all evening. In case you are wondering, even the 20 somethings were having a hard time hearing what we were shouting out to them at this table. This last visit, is the last visit. This time we had early reservations, and were seated in a far off room, with a scenic view of the parking lot, albeit a quiet room. The service started off very nicely, but as the dinner crowd filled the room, the service slowed. The food was fine, except for the oysters, they were small and not separated from the shell. Everything else was what should be expected from an establishment that builds its reputation on its upscale offerings, except for the waterstained cutlery. However, we did not relax to enjoy it, as we kept wondering when the bottle of wine, that we had ordered to complement our dinner, would arrive. As we finished our dinner, and the wine arrived, Perry's kindly offered to let us pay for it , to take it home with us. Of course we declined. Word of advice to Perry's, wine drinkers with a sense of humor, suspend reality to pay the 3 times mark up for a $10 bottle of wine. at an upscale restaurant. However, reality sets in when the wine shows up after the meal, and we know we can drive up to Randalls and buy it for ourselves faster and cheaper. The fresh baked chocolate cake is dry. And don't promise a dessert wine list, containing cognac, if it does not. Shame on the two managers who asked how our dinner was, and accepted "Ok" and "Fine" for an answer. In my experience, Perry's is on par with Chili's for service and silverware, and a notch above The Outback for food, atmosphere and wine. Although, I've never known the Outback to leave that kind of money on the table.

“Can be better - food is great, presentation not as much - DONT GO ON HOLIDAYS”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 27, 2013

Best things - the fillet, the peacan salad, the cheese cake and creme brule are delicious

ok - plating is not as nice as other high class restaurants, same as silverware, ribs were good but meat was not as juicy completely just some areas,

not as good- Caesar salad way too salty, mash potatoes way too salty, waiting in a "special ocassion" not ideal even with reservation, not waiting room so all piled up standing inside but with cold air because of the constant door opening

OVERALL - a bit overprice when it can be better, DO NOT go on holidays

“Food was incredible.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 27, 2013 via mobile

Pork chop could feed a family. Incredible food and great accommodations for a group. Wine is a bit pricey but par for the restaurant. Great evening.
