I dined here with my brother and others for a sublime "bachelor party" before my brothers wedding. This place has a fantastic view overlooking part of Lake Houston and is easily accessable.
As for the food, it was standard Tex-Mex, nothing out of the ordinary. I had the fajitas and they were presented, and tasted like any other fajitas out there. The taco plates ordered by others didnt seem to be anything special either. The did have three different salsas they brought out that were all really good and spicy, one being a verde salsa with cream cheese and fresh cilatro and jalapenos that was great. They have a decent beer selection, when you can get the waiter/waitress to bring you the right one. Which brings me to my next topic.
When are restaurants going to learn that having a great waitstaff is as important as the food when it comes to staying open? The entire waitstaff was young and seemed indifferent to actually doing a decent job. Our waiter looked like he had been beaten up and proceeded to tell us (unsolicited) the sob story of how he had wrecked his motorcycle and gotten hurt. Additionally, he didnt seem able to keep the drink orders straight even though we were there over two hours and ordered only two rounds.
This place has a heck of a lot of potential: great location, decent food and what could be a really fun atmosphere. They need to focus on hiring competent waitstaff and improving their menu a little bit.
