4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 25, 2012

okay, fine, exciting, fun, full of people, Cheerful, elated, euphoric, joyful. It's good, all the food is good. They have everything country cooking is supposed to be. Not opened on Sundays though. Go early because it closes early and is packed around lunch time

“Great Country Cooking”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 30, 2012

The first time I visited the Texas Cafeteria was back in the seventies, and I have been a regular ever since. If you want some real down home southern cooking, then this is the place. The cucumber/tomato salad is, without a doubt, the best I have ever tasted. Wish I had the recipe. They don’t serve beer or wine, but they have some of the best home brewed tea in town. I would highly recommend TC to everyone interested in some authentic home style country cooking.
