We drove in to Houston much earlier than expected and I checked in around 1pm. The front desk hustled to get everything ready for us and we only had to wait a few minutes for a key the room. While waiting, I ran to the women’s bathroom in the lobby. It was charming. I just loved the tile pattern on the floor! Also they had Molten Brown products in the public bathroom... Love it!
So the room is ready and we jump in the elevator, which is secured by key access. We head up to the room, which was on the 12th floor. I was surprised at the room! It was so cute. You walk into the living room and the massive bathroom is on the left.
In the living room there is a couch, chair and tables. The photos don't really do it justice because the colors are much more vivid.
There is a wall with 2 closet doors, which contain a mini-bar, coffee maker, Revolution teas, TV and an actual closet.
Next to the closets was a neat little desk in an alcove.
The ceilings must have been 18 feet high. I have never seen such high ceilings! The bedroom has 2 closets, a desk, armoire and of course, a bed. It was cozy and extremely clean. Thank goodness the a/c was blowing cold because it was hot outside!
The jade color walls made it seem even cooler, if possible.
Last but not least, the bathroom!
This was a huge bathroom! Huge! The tub was a real Jacuzzi and could fit 2 people with plenty of room to spare. I made a note to stop and buy some milk bath while we were out.
The shower had 2 heads, one was traditional and the other was the rain head on the ceiling of the shower.
They had full size containers of Molton Brown products in the shower with pump tops... which I prefer to juggling little bottles.
There were also various small bottles of Molton Brown products on the sink, including stuff to use in the bath.
There was a huge mirror and make-up mirror.
We had a lot planned for the day but were looking forward to relaxing in the room when we returned!
We stayed long enough to get changed for a day touring the coast.
Well, we stayed out late and returned to the room about 10pm.
I did manage to swing by a drug store and got some Calgon milk bath that said it was safe for whirlpool tubs.
I jumped into the bath almost immediately. The tub holds about 100 gallons of water (at least) and it was up to my neck! The jets were so relaxing! I stayed in that tub for 45 minutes!!!!
The fluffy robe smelled good and I felt 100% better after a hot, steamy day of touring!
The next morning we requested late check out.
I took a shower and well... did you ever see the Seinfeld episode about the shower heads? That big shower at this hotel pumps 1000 gallons of water a minute! It was literally the best, most powerful shower I have ever had the pleasure to use!!!!!!!!!
I wish I had this shower at home!
We got all organized and left around noon... no problems checking out.
The front desk and valet people were so nice and easy going!
I hope I can stay in this hotel on my next trip to Houston!!!!
Loved it!
