My husband and I stayed at this hotel for a wedding this past December and found it to be amazing. The ballroom was beautiful, the rooms perfect, the service wonderful. They helped right away when we were locked out of our room and were able to arrange for a 'party suite' during the wedding time where all the members of my family could meet to comiserate. The cleaning services were terrific. The rooms themselves were wonderful - the beds were extremely comfortable and the crabtree and evelyn toiletries were a nice bonus to the room. I would recommend this hotel for a wide range of interests, from business to family getaways, to romantic weekend escapes. It caters to a wide range of people.

Just stayed here for 3 nights, and LOVED it!

It is really beautiful, and very comfortable. We booked on Priceline and got a wonderful price, so did not expect the best of rooms, but when we arrived we were put on a wonderful floor and had an amazing room. We have stayed at some very nice hotels, and this one (surprisingly) ranks up with the best of them. Beautiful lobby ,GREAT beds, helpful staff, central location. Can't imagine staying anywhere else in Houston now!!

Another stay at the Hilton Americas for we had tickets to see the UT Longhorns play the LSU Tigers next door at the Toyota Center. This one reason we decided to stay here and the other was to get a 4th stay to be become a Silver VIP member. We stayed in the Executive Level where we had access to a private room with chair and couches along with modern TVs, and with free food and drinks served by a courteous assistant. It was all perfect except they were missing a computer with access to the Internet and ice cream. It is worth the extra cost if you do not want to downtairs for breakfast and evening snacks. The room was clean and in great shape. One major recurring issue with this hotel is the valet service is still way to slow. This time we called down to get our car ready and it still took 30 minutes. Staying here is very corporate. My wife want to try the Four Seasons next time to compare the two.

I work in the travel industry, and was invited to stay at Hilton Americas Houston by their senior sales manager to experience downtown Houston. I was treated like royalty from all the staff members. This hotel is great if you're looking for a nice hotel that is in the heart of downtown Houston for vacation or meetings/conventions. The Hilton is connected to the George R. Brown Convention Center and minutes from other downtwon venues. I was fortunate to go behind the scences in the kitchen and see how they prepare meals for every guest small groups and large. Their chefs are amazingly talented when it comes to presenting their food. If you want to experience the spa I highly recommed getting a manicure and pedicure. As you sit in the massage chair while your feet are soaking you have an amazing view of Houston's skyline. The rooms are nice and beds are soft and comfortable. I had lunch in the Skyline Grill, and the food was really good. The only issue I had staying at this hotel was during my second night I went to the pool and my room keys wouldn't open the door. I later found out when I tried getting into my room my keys wouldn't work either. I ended up going down to the front desk and had them reset my keys. Since I didn't have any identification on me because I was dressed for the pool the front desk had a security guard walk me up to my room to make sure that it was my room. Once I got to my room I showed the guard my id, and he left. What I think happened is that I had my room keys next to my cell phone and the magnetic strip on the keys scrambled. So I highly recommend that you keep your room keys away from any credit cards or cell phones to avoid this problem. If you're looking for transportation Merlo's Charters works a lot with this hotel. I give this hotel two thumbs up!
