My wife and I stayed at the Hilton Americas March 31st to April 2nd for a long weekend getaway. The only word to describe this hotel is fabulous!
This hotel complex is huge, however, the staff seem to go out of their way to accomodate everyone in a friendly and efficient manner. From the front desk to the concereige, restaurants and bell desk you can not ask for a more friendly and efficient staff.

The rooms are large, modern and well appointed. The bathroom is above average size so that two people would not encur a problem using them. The only drawback is the bathroom lighting, very dim. This is a trend most hotels seem to be going with, lower wattage lights. The beds are comfortable and the most impressive feature is that the room was very quiet. The hotel was at capacity and we never heard our neighbours or the usual annoying door closings at all hours.

The lobby area is huge and spacious with many restaurants and bars to suit everyone's taste. The restaurants although pricey are all 5 star quality.
We dinned at Spencer's and enjoyed one of Houston's best steaks and as a matter in fact one of the best steaks I have had in years. Their wine celler is well stocked with many vintages not usually found in higher end dinning establishments. The wait staff are very accomodating and provide excellent service.
The 24th floor Skyline Bar & Grill in also a great place to enjoy fine dinning or after 10:00 PM a good lounge with a view to have a cocktail and mingle with other guests

The pool and hot tub area is also on the 24th floor with a spectacular view of the city. There is also an outdoor patio to enjoy some sun and quiet time.

The hotel is located right in the heart of the convention district adjacent to the Toyota Centre and a block from the new ball park right downtown. The entire area is very clean and modern like a city within a city. The hotel is easy to get to via vehicle and offers the best Valet Parking we have experienced in some time. Just a quick call and by the time you get off the elevator your vehicle is parked out front.
