Stayed there for three nights. Definitely very clean. It should be, it's only a couple of years old. The room was very quiet except for hallway noise. Couldn't hear anyone above, below, or next to me. Great views of downtown Houston. Great amenities but they will make you pay. Close to restaurants and shopping. The food on the breakfast and lunch buffet was pretty good. Its connected to the convention center so this is the place to stay if you must go to the George R Brown convention center.

I take issue with their service. Every time I went to eat in the casual dining area the hostesses were extremely slow. The restaurant would have 100 open seats and there would be 10 people waiting for 5 minutes to be seated. Not something you expect when paying 250+ per night. Plus the front desk was less than enthusiastic. Finally, be aware that there is a $6.00 charge to use the gym. It's not on their website and it's in very small print on one line in one of the several publications in the room [the brochure says $5.00]. The gym attendant will rudely make sure you sign in at the gym and charge the fee to your room.

I was recently at the Hilton Americus for a Conference and the accomodations were great. The hotel provided shuttle serve to surrounding popular restaurants. the hotel did have a restaurant located in the lobby of the hotel, however the buffet was a little pricey for the selection of foods that was offered. The rooms were very clean and the housekeeping was very accomodating for the items that were not placed in the room. I would recommend this hotel if you are looking for luxury in your accomodations and willing to pay the price, because this is not an inexpensive hotel.

I stayed at this lovely hotel just a few months ago, and my pictures just do not do it justice!! I was there for a conference, and it seems to be a very poplular place to have them as there were a few others going on at the same time. All of my meals were catered by the hotel and its staff which I thought were wonderful!!! Even though there were other conferences at this hotel, it did not seem to be understaffed or pressured at all. Very professional. As for the rooms-I have stayed in some very nice hotels and this one had the best bed I have ever slept in!!!!! Not once during the night did I wake up uncomfortable. Pillows and down comforter a plus in my book!!! Bathroom was very nice and clean. I was a little dissapointed to find out that the workout center closed at 10pm, as I wished to get a little sweating done after all the food I ate!!! I would definetly reccomend this hotel to anyone who wished to stay in Houston. Since I was there for a conference, I didnt get to see the city at all, so as far as its closeness to attrations and such, Im not too sure. I hope this helped in anyone's decision as to where to stay!!

My family and I decided to go visit an aunt that lives in Houston for Mother's Day weekend. We only stayed for one night. We were on the 10th floor, and had a wonderful view of the city at night. The hotel is beautiful! Everything is kept very clean. We needed extra towels and they brought some up to us right away. The pool is on the top floor WOW what a view. Overall we were very impressed with the Hotel. The only thing I thought could have been better was the front desk staff. When we arrived to check in, the receptionist acted like we didn't belong there, probably because they don't see very many MEXICAN people stay at the Hilton. That is the only thing that kind of made me upset. She could not belive that we actually had enough money to stay there! Well, just goes to show ya. Anyway I would definately recommend this Hotel.

This is hotel is one of my favorites in Downtown Houston. I had a recent stay here for 2 nights. The hotel charges 12.99 to park if you say you have a car, if you don’t need in and out privileges, just go to the (well hidden) Hilton parking garage , take a ticket as you pull in and its 12.00 for a 24 hour period. Tell them you took a cab. Save yourself 1.00 No big deal but Hilton does its best to nickel and dime you. There are a few parking lot areas near the Hilton for 4 or 5 dollars a night but I wouldn’t park my car there overnight. Meters are in front of the Hilton but they are not free on weekends as one post suggested. The rooms are spacious and well stocked. Excellent linens more then enough pillows. Bathrooms well lit and clean. Nice marble type bathrooms. Had dinner at the Hilton cafe. I would pass on this. I ordered the steak sandwich and it took, 45 minutes for it to be brought to my table, I had to stop a waiter, not my waiter since mine seemed to disappear, and ask what the hold up was, I only ordered a sandwich, when I finally got it, it was obvious a bad cut of meat since it was full of fat and grisle,, terrible and it wasn’t cheap. The Hilton charges 3.50 for a glass of coke, this is not a resort but yet they charge resort prices.
They have an indoor pool area with Jacuzzi that closes at 10 pm so no late night swims here. Pool opens at 6 am. In room movies are 12.99 + tax. They do have video games for kids but not sure on the price. The staff seemed ok, although somewhat robotic in their tasks. The hotel is on the outer edges of downtown Houston and few dining options available in the area of the hotel.
This hotel is excellent if going to a convention in George R Brown Center or a game at the Toyota Center. All located just a short stroll away. All in all I would recommend this hotel but wouldn’t dine here again, the menu is too limited and wasn’t all too good for the price.
