If you have something going on at the convention center this hotel makes your business life a breeze. It is directly across the street and worth a few bucks more for that. No shuttles, taxis or parking ...just a 1 minute stroll. That means something after standing in a booth for 7 hours.

The rooms were about average for what you would expect of a big city downtown Hilton. The maid for the 2nd two nights was head and shoulders above the one for the first two nights here.

...biggest complaint was a $22 charge for a double Tanqueray and tonic ...come on now, that is a rip.

Room Tip: ...the higher the better. If you are an Honors member, it is quite a walk from the lobby elevator t...

Having stayed here several times, the welcome, internet situation (no wi-fi) unless you are a Gold Member, unless purchased or jumping through 100 hoops and the breakfast was a disapointment, My breakfast fritatta was $14.50 and was a dish the size of a maybe two extremely small poached eggs. This was touted as a vegetable dish with fresh veggies and goat cheese-in about 4 bites. And it came out 15 minutes after my husbands. At this level of Hilton Hotel, I definetly expect more. And I can get it at the Embassy Suites!
However, this hotel has a great lobby, rooms, bar and location to George R. Brown Convention Center. It is in center of downtown with lot of nightlife nearby. The more hotels I stay at, the pickier I get!

An excellent hotel in every detail large and small. This is a massive hotel, (next to convention center), yet despite its size, they maintain an impressive level of service. Every employee I dealt with was very professional and really friendly. The room was very nice, appointed with the usual amenities you would expect, and immaculately cleaned. The bed was extremely comfortable too. It goes without saying that if you want to be close to the convention center or other nearby venues, this is a great location. I had access to the breakfast in the executive level--it was fantastic and once again, managed very well, even when it got crowded, the people working there were all very nice and professional.

Room Tip: Our room was on the 17th floor, almost in the center in the "C" shape in terms of the layo...

We stayed here for New Year's eve and the service was impeccable. They are in the process of revamping their fine dining restaurant so all that was open was the cafe, but the first class buffet they served was fantastic!

This is a huge hotel but don't be put off the service, food etc is spot on. Only stayed for one night, to seea Rockets game but would choose this hotel again. Only a 2 minute walk to the Toyota Center. You can overlook the Toyota Center from one of the upper floors. Good sized room and great swimming pool.

Dear Graham R,

Thank you for sharing your Hilton Americas-Houston experience on TripAdvsior.

In addition to be conveniently located next to the Toyota Center, we are the only hotel connected to George R. Brown Convention Center and in close proximity to Minute Maid Park (Home of the Houston Astros), across Discovery Green, a very short few blocks away from the Houston Pavilions, the new BBVA Compass Stadium (Home of the Houston Dynamo) and not far from the museum and theater districts. We also offer complimentary shuttle service to all hotel guests from 6 am – 11 pm around the local area.

Thank you for staying with us and we look forward to welcoming you back.

I stayed here for an oil and gas convention. This hotel is very convenient for the convention center. There is an enclosed walkway to the convention center in case of rain. The beds were very comfortable and the hotel room was quiet despite being very busy from the convention. The staff were very friendly too. Breakfast in the hotel cafe was expensive, but I think that's not too surprising.

I was lucky enough to stay here during the NBA All-Star weekend. Because the hotel is next to the Toyota Center and the Convention Center and has almost 1200 rooms, it was the main hotel for the weekend. The hotel was at capacity and the lobby was always jammed with guests and autograph seekers. Nonetheless, the service was always excellent - front desk, housekeeping, restaurant, bars, and concierge were all outstanding. Security was very good without being rude. The room was very nice - although a little on the dark side. Overall, an excellent stay. I'd definitely come back if I'm ever in Houston again.
