I was in town for a conference and did not have a car. The location is close to downtown--walking distance about 6 city blocks--and felt relatively safe. There is a decent happy hour for registered guests; a small, but nice workout room; and free computer access and printing, which I appreciated to print out my boarding pass. The bed was extremely comfortable and nice. My only complaint is that the desk staff was not particularly forthcoming about the free shuttle service it provides to the downtown area. It's fast and free, but only runs during the day. At check-in, I asked about my conference location for the next morning and was told it was an easy 7-block walk. But, of course, I had luggage, etc., so I wasn't too thrilled with that news. No mention was made of the shuttle service. When I checked out the info in the room, I saw the shuttle service and called the front desk. I confirmed that the service was available. I was amused that the person who advised about the "easy" walk was my shuttle driver. Nonetheless, a good place for a quick overnighter. No close-by restaurants, however, and area delivery was SLOOOWWW and minimums for delivery were high for one person.
