We stopped in for dinner while on a layover at IAH. Fortunately, the food has improved in many airports over the past few years, and Real Food is a testament to that. They offer a wide variety of fresh hot and cold food to dine in or take on the plane (advisable if the usual over-priced, so-so quality food on the plane isn't your bag).
We chose the ribs and sausage BBQ plates and were not disappointed. It's a little pricey, but then again, you're a captive audience in an airport, on the other side of security. Fortunately, the food here is good and the portions more than ample. I'd opt for this over any of the fast food chains in the airport, or Bubba's Bayou Grill, which attempts to serve below-average Cajun cuisine with commensurate service.
Of course, the atmosphere isn't exactly quiet or intimate; it's a busy airport after all.
