Reservation was screwed up, cable was missing, remote didnt work, phone was missing, not enuff towels and was clothes, not enuff pillow (front desk didnt have any) no pillow cases on some of pillows, bug on pillow, blood on pillow and wall, holes in sheets, very dirty carpet and room, natiest breakfest ever!!! DONT STAY HERE!!!

Horrible and filthy place to stay. We were given a non-smoking room that had the dirtest carpet I have ever seen, a roach on the floor, and a cigarette butt in the toilet. I asked for a cleaner room. I was first offered a spray to make it smell better.

I was then given the key to a room that was occupied by a gentleman waiting on someone to fix his toilet. The next room had dirty carpet and an air conditioner fan that would start bumping or slipping loudly. And, I had a very nice lady open my door with her key--they had given her my room!

This hotel is listed as Houston and/or Nassau Bay and is across the street from the Johnson Space Center. I would never stay here again.

Hairdryer did not work and I have 3 girls. Despite a "No Pets Allowed" sign at the front door, the manager allowed the room next to us to have 3 large, loud dogs who scratched and barked all night long. The free breakfast was the nastiest thing on earth served in nasty conditions. The worst part is that we paid for a suite with 2 beds. We specifically requested clean sheets on the sofa sleeper bed long before we checked in. We verified those requests upon check in. We checked in at 2 pm and went across the street to the NASA Johnson Space Center Ballunar Festival. We came back to the hotel around 9 pm. What did we find? We found a sleeper without sheets. We called up to the office where they told us that we could come get the sheets ourselves and put them on ourselves!! Who pays for a hotel room and submits their requests well ahead of time only to find that they have to fix the beds themselves!? On top of it all, they only gave us 2 towels, 2 washcloths and 2 pillows. I went to the front to request 2 more towels, washcloths and pillows and was basically grilled about the purpose of the extra towels and accused of not intending to bring them back! The next morning, August 28, I went to the front desk and demanded my money back. The front desk girl and the wife of the cynical owner told me that my complaints were not really so bad that I should get my money back.

I will never stay at another Microtel ever again. Especially this one. And the silly part about it all is that only 3 hotels in all of Houston were affiliated with the Schepps/Remax Ballunar Festival and this Microtel was one of them. They were giving away free passes to the festival if you stayed there. And since it was across the street from the space center, I assumed that it would have a higher quality of service and stay but, heck no, that was not the case. Stay away. Spend your $60 somewhere else.
