Stayed here for one night on business. Hotel is a little "worn" - but clean. Decent- not great -complimentary breakfast in the lobby. Very good complimentary cookies and coffee available pretty much all day. Free parking is a plus in a downtown location. It is near several highways - but I really didn't hear much highway noise.
Previous comments are absolutely correct about the beds - very clean and confortable.
Gym is small - one cross trainer, one treadmill, one bike, one stepper. No headphones and a TV that me and a few other people couldn't get to work ( BYO music and reading material).
Indoor pool and hot tub were being used and looked small but fine.
If I were staying indowntown Houston again, I'd check out some other hotels and if the price ( including free parking) was right -I'd consider staying here again.

I stayed here while training for 4 weeks and have to say its the BEST Hampton I have stayed at. Wonderful courteous staff that was not only attentive to every detail but made sure I was MORE than satsified with my stay. Everythine here is top notch, from the bed to the shower to the big towels. Because of this experience, this is the ONLY hotel I stay at when in Houston.....Kudos to the staff and management here, WELL DONE!

The hotel staff was extremely professional, loved the hot breakfast in the morning. The star of the show was the Cloud Nine bedding that Hampton Inns are beginning to roll out in all of their hotels. I've stayed in a lot of hotels, and this bed was by far the most comfortable. Cloud Nine does away with the awful comforters, and instead uses layers of linens and a washable duvet cover, so you know your bed is clean. Great move on their part.

The Hampton Inn near the Galleria in Houston Texas helped to once again reinforce my love with the Hilton Hampton chain!

Excellent rooms, excellent service, excellent location, and great price! This was an unanticipated stay. Our dive trip got canceled so we needed a place stay for the weekend. A quick look on the internet showed that this hotel was nearby, had a name I trusted, and had one of the more affordable prices in the area. Oh and free breakfast -- nothing worse then having to forage for food in the morning in an area you never intended to stay at.

Ok hotel overall, but was a little disappointed. Bed was great and room was good size and clean. However, the hotel is a bit dingy and worn, and the breakfast was a disappointment. Fake-looking pre-cooked eggs, bagels that were ok, but toasters that took 15 minutes to make anything resembling golden. Ok complimentary coffee, good location, but will try a new place next time.
