Description: Brasserie 19, located in Houston’s 77019 neighborhood, offers a modern amalgamation of French brasserie fare and well-known American influences. The chef-driven menu utilizes the freshest seasonal ingredients in thoughtfully prepared dishes. Brasserie 19 boasts an expansive, carefully developed wine list dedicated to pricing just above retail – a philosophy pioneered by owners Charles Clark and Grant Cooper upon opening their first restaurant, Ibiza Food & Wine Bar. Brasserie 19's sophisticated yet unpretentious interiors are bathed in cool greys and whites, with antiqued wood and white marble used throughout. Grey leather banquettes and comfortable chairs are paired with white linen and butcher paper-covered tables create a casually elegant setting for lunch, dinner or Sunday brunch. Brasserie 19 will serve lunch and dinner 7 days a week, as well as brunch on Sundays.

“Best in Houston”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 17, 2013

We have now lived for two years in Houston and tried out LOADS of restaurants, and the food is not really great. Unfortunately, not even close to what it should be given Houston's size and importance. There are a few gems, though, and Brasserie 19 is one of them: Nice setting (quite large, actually, about 260 places!), not too noisy considering the crowds, good attentive service, and almost always GREAT food. Excellent seasoning (just the right amount of nutmeg on the gratin potatoes!), great fish preparation - very tasty dover sole, VERY FRESH oysters!!! They are not perfect (the french onion soup had so much bread that it absorbed all of the soup!), but some plates are so good that it evens out. Very much recommended!

“mussels and fries”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 12, 2013

Crowded, noisy Friday night. Superb mussels, fries could have been less soggy and a bit more French or Belgian. Broad wine selection.

“Awesome French”

Service was excellent and food superb. We tried the duck, almond trout, steak, and the charcuterie tray for appetizer. Escargot are a must !!! Good drinks too. Definetly coming back.

“Fantastic!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 8, 2013

We had reservations (three of us) for noon on Easter brunch at Brasserie 19. Great selection of mimosas. We ordered the Lobster bisque to start and it was delicious. Next we ordered the Grilled Wild Salmon and the Rainbow Trout Almondine and the Fish and chips. Loved them all except of the fish and chips. Otherwise everyone was great. The place is beautiful-all in white. Very bright and welcoming.

“Relaxing Saturday lunch”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 14, 2013

Very busy restaurant with wonderful food. Staff very attentive, took time to answer our questions regarding menu items and preparations. Ordered the seafood salad, which was excellent. We enjoyed our lunch so much, we will return soon to try other menu options.
