My colleague and I stayed here for one night, and that was pushing it.
There is a major freeway in front of the hotel/motel style (doors open to parking lot), and a train on the other side that ran every 20 minutes. You must drive through a very sketchy-looking neighborhood to get there- when we stopped at the stop signs, we were nearly certain we were about to get car jacked. I switched away my first room because there was a large gap around the door (perfect size for a crowbar) enabling me to see the freeway through the door. The second room was much dirtier - carpet stains, counter stains and the bathroom light didn't work.
The front desk was nice enough, lobby was in good shape, and they said that the scary neighborhood was being rebuilt. WIth Houston traffic it took 45 minutes to get to the business area (even though its 5 miles away).
