“Nice park!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 21, 2014

Nice big park in the middle of the museum district! Parking lot was almost full but we found a spot easily enough. Large pool and obelisk that looks very much like the Washington Monument in D.C. Some fountains for kids to play in nearby. Pretty botanical gardens on site. There was also an amphitheater where a band was playing. It was busy when we visited on a Saturday afternoon.

“Highlight of Houston”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 19, 2014 via mobile

Hermann Park is a must see for any visitor to Houston. Lovely to stroll through and see families enjoying themselves in the warm winter sunshine. There is an attractive lake full of wildlife, we saw beavers, tortoises, and all kinds of birds. You can hire a pedallo boat for 30 mins at $10 and finish with a snack at the nearby Pinewood cafe. Takes about 30 minutes to stroll through the park, or take the small train.

“A great Houston outdoor attractino”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 12, 2014

Hermann Park is as close as you can get in Houston to a big city park like in London or Madrid. Great space for walking (the norm in Houston), but also good attractions - the reflection lake, the monuments, the boating lake, the miniature train, the rose garden (currently under repair). Great for family (boat on the lake!), couples or just a quiet stroll on ones own. And even a cafe for a snack (unusual in Houston). Parking is tight, though, at the weekends and holidays .. some effort might be made to provide additional space.

“Holiday Train”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 6, 2014

A twenty minute train ride through the park and not expensive, Two adults and a child for under ten dollars. Park closes too early and some conductors never turn on the Christmas lights. Overall, worthwhile. But, if its lights you want, check out the Houston zoo adjacent. Ten dollars per person you will not be disappointed. Over one million LED lights!

“Beautiful park”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 4, 2014

Large park, plenty to see. Its by the museum's, zoo, and golf course. I have gone for a picnick and just random walks. Its fun, but very busy :) I love that the new metro train goes right by it.
