Hermann Park has quickly become my favorite spot in Houston. Great place for picnics, workouts and free shows at the Miller Outdoor Theater!

“Nice afternoon in the sun”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 9, 2013

Hermann Park is very large and there is plenty activities to keep you entertained. The reflecting pool is very similar to the on in Washington DC. There is splash pad for kids to enjoy at one end of the reflecting pool which is great on a hot day. Nearby is the Japanese Gardens. They are very lovely gardens that are worth a walk through. It wasn’t too busy on the Sunday we were there but it was extremely hot so that could be why.

“Pretty Pretty Park”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 3, 2013

Hermann park is unexpected. Nestled in the center of a bustling oil city and surrounded by diverse neighborhoods, Hermann Park stands as a monument to the unabashed wealth of Houston's elite. To sound less pretentious, Hermann Park is very accessible and has plenty of excellent outdoor space and views, with a swan lake, Washington Monument, reflecting pool, outdoor amphitheater and zoo. 3 miles of running track surround the perimeter and the heart of Houston is within walking distance in all directs, or 1 Metro Rail ride. Parking is limited, but who drives anyways? Go run around this place.

“Houston's central park”

Something to do for all ages - train, paddle boats, bike trail, gardens, golf, picnic area, wild life, fountains. Beautifully landscaped. Lots of shade. Decent parking.

“Lot's of Green”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 3, 2013

I haven't been to Hermann Park in about 15 yrs. Today i decided to take a stroll there. The park has really improved! Its very nice and peaceful. I love the reflection pool and the Japanese garden. The downside is all the homeless people I saw and the restrooms. They were filthy and the eating areas had foul smells because of all the homeless people setting up camp there. In all the park is nice and Im going there again in the following weeks.
