“The Element is our favorite place to stay in Houston.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 10, 2012

Our hotel room feels like an efficiency apartment. Great kitchen : ) Full size refrigerator = Super!!!! Love the clean lines. And contempory feel. The complimentary breakfast is wonderful. The Element is located in an upper class part of town. We walk to the shopping centers close by for dinner and shopping. It's always clean. The staff is wonderful.

“Wow, such a cool hotel!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 22, 2012

Stayed at this Element by Westin for a weekend wedding event. The hotel is very nicely appointed, clean interior, clean lines, new furnishings, great staff. I requested a king sized room, which was very nice. The bedding is luxurious, clean, and very inviting. The room was outfitted with a small refrigerator with an ice maker - nice touch. It also had a microwave, coffee maker, an in room sink as part of a small kitchenette which was outfitted with assorted dishes, cutlery, and cooking utensils. You could be quite comfortable in this room for a week or more. The bathroom had a large glass enclosed shower with an overhead large square shower head and hand attachment as well.

The pluses were ample and most mentioned above. The minuses - the check in staff did not take time to explain the amenities of the hotel and there was no binder in the room to pick up for their slack. The hotel is very environmentally conscious, which is admirable, except I would love to have known about their pantry with self serve snacks, and packaged gourmet popcorn. It would have been handy to know the pool hours and the work out room hours, etc..

Another minus, the adjoining room noise was substantial. I could hear the guests next door zip their suitcases closed. There was no sense of privacy from the room next door. I asked to be moved to a room without an adjacent room, and Office Manager Callen Lyke, was happy to do so. He was pleasant and very accommodating. If you like quiet and privacy, ask for a room that does not have an adjoining room.

The hotel is right next door to a very pleasant shopping center that guests can easily walk to. Lots of fun, fun, dining was available there and cute stores to browse through. They are not yet finished building the mall, more stores to come. The hotel does offer shuttle service, but it was truly very close.

A continental breakfast is served in the lobby in the morning. The food was very good, and not your typical hotel food. Breakfast burritos were served hot and replenished often. Yummy sticky buns for the sweet tooth. The staff kept busy and kept the room clean and food well stocked.

Great hotel. Really enjoyed my visit. Will look for this type of hotel in the future.

Room Tip: If you like quiet and privacy, ask for a room that does not have an adjoining room.

“WOW!!! Similar to a Luxury Studio European Apartment!!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 13, 2012

The moment you walk in you can see the uniqueness of this hotel. Everything is very chic and energy efficient. The rooms are magnificent! We rented our studio for $130 on a Thursday night. It had a sectional couch, a full-size stainless steel refrigerator, dishwasher, dvd player, sink, and many more amenities. We stayed for a romantic get away, but it seemed like the perfect business hotel. It had hdmi ports, a business station, and connections to the tv.

The whole experience was very modern. They have a beautiful pool with a fire pit going 24/7. They have a great breakfast and also have a social hour during the week with free wine, beer, and snacks! My only complaint is during check-in. I waited to be assisted for 10 minutes while 2 attendants helped 1 guest without even acknowledging me. However, when I was finally assisted they apologized and everything went smooth from there.

The vintage park area does not have many hotels, especially ones this nice and modern. If you want a moderately priced hotel in Vintage Park area this is a GREAT HOTEL for you. If you are going on a business trip in North Houston this is GREAT HOTEL for you. If you need something near downtown Houston this IS NOT the hotel for you. If you are looking for something cost effective in North Houston this IS NOT the hotel for you, as it will be hard to get for anything less than $130 a night.

Tip: This hotel is in North Houston. It may be far from your actually destination, be sure to check the map!

Room Tip: TIP: If you want ice be sure to flip the lever on your refrigerator down when you check in to the ro...

“Great Service and Prestine Facilities”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 8, 2012

I am an Event Manager and I have utilized the Element numerous times to accommodate our guests. The sleeping rooms are spacious and fully equipped to keep the traveler comfortable and functional. Each room includes a kitchen/ living room area, a private bedroom plus desk area. The hotel has complimentary wifi throughout the entire facility and guests can log on with multiple devices without any problems.
The hotel provides additional services: that maximize the ROI when you compare their rates with the competition. They offer a nightly happy hour with complimentary beer, wine and appetizers and healthy breakfast alternatives that are yes hot (not just a muffin and juice here!) and also complimentary. The hotel also has a few private passenger vans and their staff has transported our guests around the surrounding area.
This hotel has it all:
Complimentary parking
Unique outdoor spaces for relaxing on your own, or holding an evening event
State-of-the-art fitness facilities
A well stocked pantry
Complimentary computer and printer kiosk
Pristine facilities
Outstanding onsite staff!

“Just Right!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 14, 2012

My husband and I stumbled upon the Element a few years back as they were just opening. Since then we've stayed there numerous times when we've been in town for business. The rooms are great with the kitchens, ridiculously comfortable beds, and rain showers. One of my favorite parts of the Element is the smell of the lobby, so fresh and clean. The breakfast is great for a quick bite to eat and a nice cup of coffee.

Room Tip: An added bonus is that they are pet friendly!
