Perhaps I just caught this place at the right time, but everything about my stay was pleasant and the room rate I paid was excellent. I've stayed here before and will likely do so again since it is relatively convenient to the University of Houston. This particular hotel is now providing one great perk: a beer and wine hour each evening. While I was there, the run up to the super bowl was in progress, so it was particularly fun given that the game was Dallas - NY Giants Rooms are perfectly serviceable, comfortable beds, staff is good, and hot breakfast is above average. There are more refined places to stay, but none providing comparable value for the money.

We stayed at this modern Drury hotel for a weekend visit to the Houston area between a few days in New Braunfels and a few in Brownsville Texas. Since we were flying into and out of Hobby, this was a good location. We have stayed at Drury's before and know they are a reliable mid price brand - but this time we got an upgrade to a suite - so it was even better value.

On the Saturday we drove down the adjacent freeway to Galveston and visited the excellent Schlitterbahn Waterpark - which has an unusual facility of having a retractable roof so part of it can stay open in winter. This was a very hot late summer day so the roof was open. Well worth the trip.

We arrived too late to test the free evening drinks - but did try the free breakfast - which as other reviews have stated - is a good way to start the day - and saves time as well as money.

The area is a bit dodgy - but that for some reason is not unusual for the area round airports - they are often sleazy.

Enjoyed the stay and maintained our faith in the brand.

We've stayed at many airport hotels which were marginal in amenities, quality of accomodations. We stayed at the Drury Inn twice, the night before our cruise and the night before catching our flights home. The rooms were comfortable and clean. The full breakfast was plentiful including fruits, pastries, waffles, eggs, sausage. Rarely does one get this type of selection at mid-scale hotels these days. Also, although we did not avail of the service, we could of made 60 minutes of long distance calling for free from our room within the US. This hotel is a great value!

My two night stay was neither bad nor good. Compared to surrounding hotels, the Drury Inn was much less expensive when booked on the Drury Inn website using the e-saver rate. But compared to surrounding hotels, the room was also cramped and small. The bedspread was absolutely hideous. There is hardly a place to open your luggage. (This is for Room 504.)

It comes down to what you are looking for. There is free internet and free breakfast. (Drury advertises eggs for breakfast but they are not so good.) One of the best perks is the free hour of long distance every night. But for these perks, you give up some level of comfort that you would experience at a nearby, more expensive hotel.

Perfect for families. Kids loved the indoor/outdoor pool and esp the happy hour snacks!! Mom and Dad could chill by the pool with comp drinks while the kids swam and munched on cokes and nachos, all free every afternoon. Breakfast was great although the waffle line can get backed up. Super helpful staff, Will stay again. Not the prettiest part of Houston, but worth it for the freebies, esp if you have kids!!
