It is what it is....a place to get in out of the elements. Nothing fancy. Pretty clean. They say they are undergoing a renovation, but I didn't see it, except for some new tile in the entry. When I booked, I was quoted the king suite rate of $145 a nite which is way more than I wanted, but it was the only thing available with more than one double bed. When we arrived, it was obvious they weren't anywhere close to being full, unless everyone had come in about 5 cars. Subsequently, they were able to put us in a regular king room at $89 a nite (which was better than the original price b/c the cost of an entire floor could not have been $145 worth!). We were also given a piece of paper asking what kind of clean up service we wanted (just towels or NO service) since the following day was Thanksgiving . Of course, there was no reduction in room rate even tho there was a reduction in service...just towels left in a plastic bag on the dresser...the used towels were not even picked up. Continental breakfast was stale muffins and coffee from another decade; I think the creamer was rancid. Didn't even bother to go look on second day. If this place was not so close to where I needed to be, I would not have stayed here. Next time I think I will drive an extra mile or 2 away.

Can't say it was terrible because the room was large and clean. The place is nothing special. TV was poor quality. Shower head broke off the first day and had to shower with just a spurt of water. It had obviously been cracked for some time from looking at it. Gave it to the desk clerk who was very nice and promised to get it replaced. Came in that afternoon and the replacement was another poor quality, used shower head that was corroded and had not even been scraped clean or soaked to remove the scale and water deposits. The overall maintenance at this place is poor. The carpets in the halls were dirty and the parking lot was trashy. The elevators were poorly located and very slow. The halls and lobby were not cool and the AC in the room was noisy. The breakfast was plentiful but poor quality. Eggs were runny and the bacon was overcooked. It was difficult to get a 'to-go' cup for coffee.

The staff was nice.

Pick some other place if you have a choice. I will not stay here again.
