I see that the last review was done in November, 2004. Well, it appears that things have declined. I thought it was downright shabby. I had a room in the South Tower. The furniture was worn and in general, the room did not feel clean. With shoes on, the bathroom floor was sticky, so I definitely kept something on my feet the entire time. You could hear the freeway traffic and the LOUD a/c out in the hallway. I normally stay at the Hampton Inn when I'm in this area, but it was booked. Definitely not what I am used to when I stay at a Marriott property.

Every time I stay at a Fairfield Inn, I am reminded why I shouldn't stay at one.

I checked out the reviews on this website and they weren't too bad. I don't know why not - this motel is about as cheesy and cheap as they come. The bed was so uncomfortable that even I had trouble falling asleep, and I can fall asleep lying on the floor.

If you don't mind the questionable clientele and neighborhood and you're on a shoestring budget, this place is OK. Otherwise, shell out the extra cash and stay elsewhere.

We just came back from a weekend stay in Houston and I thought that the Fairfield Inn Galleria was a super deal. Maybe the furniture had a few scuffs on it but I thought that the fringe benefits were worth it. You have full access to everything at the Courtyard Marriott which is connected, a clean room with all the necessities, a very nice pool and whirlpool and it is secured at night with a gate that only a key holder can open. The staff was friendly and the rate was really inexpensive. I recommend it if you are on a budget. I don't even think that the "you get what you pay for" rule goes into effect on this one. There are actually some pretty dingy hotels in houston that cost more than this one. As far as the location, what isn't located on a major highway in Houston!

I was very dissapointed in the rooms at the hotel. You park in front of your door and there is a lot of light and noise coming into the rooms. We had booked with Expedia and they didn't have a record of our reservation. We had to call Expedia and it was quite annoying to check in. Best part of the hotel was the Texas shaped waffles you can make youreself in the morning. The breakfast had healthy options too, so it was nice.
