Our family didn't stay there, but it is a wonderful place for a wedding. Probably one of the best prices in Houston, Texas for a wedding.

Stayed this weekend at the St. Regis in Houston. Many nice features. Front desk staff, bellman and valets, and the bartender at Remington's were excellent. The housekeeping was ok. The pool service was poor. Had to call about towels two of three days. Great drink service one day--non-existent on the other two days. Toiletries were just ok. No free internet. Room service food was average and way-overpriced. I've had better breakfasts at Cracker Barrel. Rooms are nice but very-masculine decorations--almost comically stereotypical Texan. Beautiful fresh flowers in common area. Price was reasonable compared to similar hotels in other cities, but overall, I won't stay here again.

The staff was amazing. From the valet to the front desk & concierge. The hotel is definitely St. Regis caliber. We got a Platinum SPG upgrade to a suite. Very nice, spacious room. Our view was of the front of hotel overlooking random buildings and a parking structure. The rear view may be of downtown and pool. I don't believe this city has a view to offer anyways. Hotel is isolated, which I didn't see as a problem. Only five minutes to Galleria (Cheesecake Factory/Kona Grill/Westin/high end shops) and less time to frwy. Nice pool on a lower floor.

I booked directly with the hotel after seeing a package on their Web site. I had trouble getting the deal so I just called their front desk. The front desk mgr. patiently input the deal points and made my reservation for me.
At arrival, they made every effort to get me into a room early to accomodate my mtg schedule and even upgraded me due to the difficulties I had with the online res process.
The hotel reeks of old-world class - fresh flowers everywhere, five-star amenities (although I think their designation of their "spa" is a bit generous given it's size) are great - but the best part about this property is its people. At all service points, from the front to the back of the house, their personnel was perfect. The room was large, masterfully decorated.
I'd stay here again for certain, although the rates are high - in line with a Five-Star hotel I'd guess. The special price I rec'd on this stay would make it a no-brainer for anyone.

I had a short business trip to Houston and I did not want to leave the St. Regis. The room was gorgeous and the service was amazing. As soon as I pulled up in the cab the attendent knew my name and escorted me to the front desk. The room was quite large and had very elegant furnishings. I had a few drinks in the very comfortable bar in the restaurant including an out of this world bloody mary made by Gary the very friendly bartender. I ordered room service which arrived 10 minutes earlier than they quoted. The shrimp quesadilla was very good as well as the french fries I ordered. I will definitely stay here next time I am in Houston.
