After reading the terrible reviews here, I was really nervous abou staying at this hotel, but for what I wanted, it just fit, so I gave it a go. I wanted something near the hotel with a free hotel shuttle and a free shuttle to at least one shopping mall. For less than $60/night this hotel was a bargain. The shuttle driver, Will, was prompt and helpful always had a big smile for me. The lobby is big a spacious. A bit outdated, but I have seen hotels at $300/night which are worse. It was clean, filled with big comfy sofas and welcoming. Check in was easy and fast. I booked online and had requested a non-smoking handicapped room with direct outside access and I got it. The room was large and the linens and bathroom were clean. There was one tear in the sheets and several small ones in the bedspread, but I always remove the bedspread anyway. Everyone knows they are dirty, even if they look fine. There was a recliner in the room and a nice desk and office chair, plus an internet connection! Very cooll. The towels were like new, fluffy and clean smelling. They provide all of the standards, soaps and lotions plus a hair dryer and ironing board in the room. I was a bit worried about all of the security--there are two chains on the door, plus 2 more additional locks and three locks, plus a bar on the sliding glass windows--but as far as I could tell, the place was safe. I didn't see any activity that I felt was scary. No, it isn't the quietest street--it sits parallel to the freeway, but my room was one of the closest to the front of the building and it was very quiet. Free local calls and the shuttle--they'll take you anywhere you want to go within a 3 mile radius--make this a great deal. No, it isn't 5 star, but at those places you get nickeled-and-dimed for every amenity. Everything here was included. For the price and amenities, this is a good hotel. I would definitely stay here again.
