Booked a two bed room suite three months in advance to attend a wedding. Stayed for 4 days 3 nights. Booked because of favorable reviews, bigger room for the family and price.


Pros:

-Room was good size
-Beds and extra sleep stuff are great
-Location is pretty good for the kids stuff near downtown
-Pros and Cons with staff, they did fix a non-working tv quickly and gave us 1 day free breakfast for it
-the many security cameras in the parking lot did make us feel safer
-there was still construction going on during our stay but we barley noticed.

Cons

-staff didn't honor check cashing policy as outlined in guest hand book
-room itself could've used some repairs.
-they put us on the eighth floor when we have toddlers and the lock on the door to the outside balcony didn't work
-housekeeping didn't service our room until around 4pm
-room service never answered the phone
-NO FREE breakfast
-if neighbors are being too loud, you'll notice.

They are trying to be a upper class hotel and are making an effort, just not there yet.

Overall it was good for the price we paid because we got the early/non-refundable price. But I wouldn't be happy if I had to pay full price.

Whenever I travel in the US, I try to find Crowne Plaza Hotels. Their wonderful beds are the best for my horrible back and in general, there are lots of little perks for a mid priced hotel.

This particular hotel is located off the access road of the 59 freeway. Since this is Houston, you need a car to really go anywhere. The good news is there is a wonderful steak house and an Olive Garden that are right next the hotel and easy (a few yards away) to walk. The hotel also has a restaurant. The breakfast buffet is all right, but they often ran out of things and the wait was a bit long for them to replenish items.

The suites are very clean and large. Two plasma TV's. One in the bedroom and one in the sitting room. Rooms include a fridge, coffee maker with Wolfgang Puck coffee and the beds....Ah...the beds! Very comfortable and very clean. This was a very good experience! Well worth the money!
