The menu is small and a bit limited but every morsel delicious! A group of us gals had lunch here and did a little tasting of all that was ordered. The Portabella & Red Pepper Pizza was perfectly fired in their wood oven with just the right amount of crunch and juxtaposition of creaminess from the cheese and vegies. The squash soup (broth not cream based) had just the right amount of heat, plenty of squash, tomatoes, rice, onions and peppers. The avocado stuffed with chicken salad and plated on fresh greens was one of the best I've ever eaten! The chicken salad had that taste that can come only from home stewed and fresh boned chicken. The "fat" taste on your palate only made you anticipate each and every succeeding bite! The homemade lemonade was the perfect choice on a hot summer day and it, too, didn't disappoint....truly home squeezed with that perfect balance of tart, sweet and fresh lemon taste! The Buttermilk Pecan Pie was good but the fresh Peach Crisp....oh, I would have loved to take home the whole pan! Fresh peaches with a crisp and gooey crust and topped with a scoop of vanilla ice cream....if they have it when you arrive, be sure to ask them to save you a plate! Even though this place is about 30-40 minutes away, I will definitely visit again and again!
